haha, still, for a few more days. then ill be joining the ranks of the after20s.

taking risks is easier and more satisfying on paper than in actual life, at least for me. or perhaps im not really aware of what taking a risk really is... its also a lot harder to go out of your comfort zone once responsibilities start piling up (to family, work... ) how would my gf react to be going abroad to work for a year for instance?
 
As long as you're younger than me, you're still a young'un. And now that you are older and gaining confidence, go seize moments. ;)

And risks and getting out of your comfort zone can be rewarding.. at least talk to your gf about your hopes/ambitions and see what she says? The worst thing is to not discuss that stuff.

Was in the pet shop yesterday when this homeless guy wandered in holding a half ripped bin bag which clearly had clothes and food in it. He asked the guy at the counter where the shop's infamous parrot was, bloke showed him, and he wandered off to see it. When he left counter guy told him to stop and searched his bag, all the time the guy being searched is protesting he didn't steal. Guy at counter found nothing, the homeless bloke said, calmly as owt, 'I told you I don't steal' and the guy on the counter just snapped at him to fuck off. Literally everyone else who was working with him looked aghast. Bloke was gormless as fuck tho. We bought a shit load of stuff that day and just as they were totting it up, we asked for six frozen mice. He shoveled six mice out of the freezer and dumped them in our carrier bag loose, with everything else we'd bought. So we're at home unpacking and find random dead mice in our bags. Not impressed.

FFS the last2-3 wicks ive used for my ecig have started to taste burnt very quickly. This latest one tatste burnt right from the outset, despite leavining it to soak upside down in the juices for ages. :!

Right this brand new wick is gonna have to be ditched, it's unsmokable, what a fucking rip off. :!

Might knock this stupid habit on the head for a while again, seeing that 2/3 out of every 5 wicks are fucking grim tasting atm.

Why do you buy dead mice Snolly:? Do you have a pet snake or something too?

Aye we got a pet snake and, apparently, the frog eats them too when he gets bigger which I absolutely cannot wait to see :D
 
Was annoyed the other day by my phone dying a grand and beautiful death at the most (not quite the most but...) inappropriate time possible. It was only annoying because i'd needed it for arranging lifts home and stuff as I was away from uni but in the end I just didn't bother arranging anything and went straight back up to uni without bothering to see my parents. My old phone seems to be charging up now but I didn't really mind not having one for a week because I rarely get texts from anyone I can be bothered talking to as it is.

wish i werent so dependent on them.
soon to be the proud owner of a second hand but quite ok phone. cant wait for it to die too in the most annoying moment. perhaps it will grace me so when im in a different country, with no cash, no id or papers. that will teach me to complain.
 
My i-phone 4 is slow as fuck. Wish I hadn't installed the last update, that caused it. It was fine before that - thinking its apple's way of telling me to buy a new phone. Cunts.
 
Mine almost died before I got the coach the other day, as it had my ticket on that would have been pretty much the worst timing possible. The cunty thing of the whole matter is that it's only a couple of months until I get my free upgrade, why couldn't it have held on a bit longer? :\ At least a new battery was only a fiver, hope that'll fix it.

What am I annoyed about today? Not enough money, no good drugs, and mediocre wine to start with. Plus a likely annoyance of me not getting my special parcel tomorrow and just a general life is shit feeling.

Sounds like you're a student Summer, does not all that shit come with the territory? In my day it did and (err...embarrassed to say my sons too :o). It'll not always be like this.

Nought worse than feeling like life is shit though, try to keep on in there flower, ups and downs are normal <3

Just get that degree x
 
Pretty much how student-ism works aye. Always has, always will. Still sucks tho.

Annoyed cos I couldn't find my driving license to go get fags and booze so grabbed my girlfriend's. They took a cursory look at it and gave me everything. I give them MY license and they spend at least five to ten seconds inspecting it. I mean we look alike and I'd be more annoyed if they went 'hang on a minute' or asked me my address but still! She's 23!
 
being a student sucks until you graduate. then you realize just how good you had it then and how much you d wish to return...

Is there anything more fucking annoying than being told the reason you haven't been given a pretty good, well-paid professional two-month-long contract is that "you came across brilliantly but you're way too overqualified for the role." At least tell me that I came across as being a bit of a dick, or something. FFS. 8)

Fuck that.. My situation is variably shit at the moment and impressively I have less money now than then, but it's still infinitely better than being a student.
 
The "overqualified" or "overexperienced" thing is the most annoying of reasons to be rejected. Surely that is the candidates decision to make, for instance they might want a slightly less demanding role for personal reasons, and to reject people on that basis always seems unfair and irrational.
 
Yeah.. I think it's usually just a lazy response when they don't want to be honest. Probably a case that they're worried you're somehow going to so awesome it makes them look bad, or you're going to get bored and leave after a week, or something. But still, GRAR. I just need some monies.

Sorry to hear that Swampy :(

Sometimes they think you'll not stick it out if something better comes along or you'll be a nightmare to manage if you have more qualifications / experience that the boss. It's shitty. I think I'm going to come across the same soon - even though money doesn't motivate me, at a certain level they expect you to be like that.
