What's Good on European and African TV v. Walking the Dead

I liked season 3 alot, although carrie started to annoy me. sexy & annoying

Having to wait a week for the next epiosde doesnt work for me atall. All the atmoshphere, tension and momentum gets lost, and i prefer my gratification to be a lot more instant. :D

See it's the opposite for me... waiting a week between episodes, knowing it's on at a set time just builds up the suspense & tension from the last episode, you know... having some anticipation. If I watch things back to back, after a the first few episodes that just disappears & it just becomes going through the motions.

Currently got a season pass to American Horror Story: Freak Show. First episode was so-so but the second was great... can't wait to see the third now. :D

If anyone has Netflix, they've just put season 3, Coven, up... it's great... very campy & a hoot.

As an aside, does anyone know when SoA season 6 is coming to Netflix UK? I think it was only just released on US Netflix at the end of last month. I was hoping it'd appear at the same time but seemingly not. Really wanting to watch the next series.

think we stopped at the end of Homeland season2. after the main US marine/senator waas shooting dope irrc.

might get into where i last watched.

And Carrie? She is the best actor ever. plus i hate and love her lol. actually like her.

Also we just finished Boardwalk Empire. Best series, ever imo. although the last lacked the true old-school dialog like the way you were shown true respect before you got a bullet through your head. and they didn't make anything cool happen. suppose that's rl though

watched a localized version of MasterChef. Is this show the same everywhere? here it was a bunch of supposedly celebrity chefs (which ive never heard of) who apparently shout loud commands at a bunch of participants that cook mediocre food in the rain/gale/wind... honestly cannot see the point to it, and i really enjoy watching cooking shows.

anyone seen Licence to Grill? :)

Nah not seen it, heard of it though

What. Best actor ever? Fucking christ haha.

Nearly finished season 4 of Sons of anarchy at the mo

Just watched the first episode of Covert Affairs...

Probably the best pilot episode I've seen in a long time... good spy program with just the right dose of humour put in amongst everything else.

The most recent episode of Homeland was pretty amazing. (No spoilers please, 'er indoors hasn't seen it yet cos she went into Snuffleupagus mode 5 minutes into it. ;))

Well I dunno about recent Walking Dead, but which Homeland are you up to? I'm streaming the latest US episodes, i.e. up to S04E07. If you were bored by that one, I dunno what to tell you.

I need to check out the new season of homeland

Walking dead can be hit or miss on boring-ness sometimes, enjoying this season so far though

Found myself watching repeats of George & Mildred on ITV3 earlier. isn't that the most depressing sitcom? also, isn't ITV3 advertising depressing? all stairlifts and life insurance...

Poor George. I used to think he was a pathetic human being, but the older I get, the more I realise that I'm just like him. All I want is a quiet life, and my slippers. ;)

Btw young'un, that was cutting edge comedy back in the 70s when we only had 2 or 3 channels to watch. It all used to close down at night too, after playing the national anthem.

I need to try out The Walking Dead... I'd highly recommend the new series of Homeland though. Has more happening already than the last season that seemed to take forever to get anywhere.

No. No it was never cutting edge comedy - it was always shite and rarely even a bit funny. At least nobody felt the need to black up though so gets bonus points for that at least.

Trying to think of any good 70s comedy series that stand the test of time. Few and far between and no mistake. So far I've got Hithchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I know there are more but buggered if I can think of owt. May even take it to a poll if needs be Been ages since we had a poll on a matter of vital import. Poll.
