well, The Missing started off very well but kind of fizzled away and went awry towards the end imo. I missed most of the 2nd series of Peaky Blinders

, but the couple of epiosdes i did see looked good. That just leaves The Fall as the saviour of British TV. I havent started watching the 2nd series yet, the first was very good.
Otherwise i have to conclude that there's barely anything good on-European TV, (that's as in 'made in Europe' not just broadcast here, mostly it isnt on the terrestrial channels, so many people never get to see what they are missing) and the big quality American Blockbusters have just set the bar far too high for the Brits to ever stand a chance of competing on an equal footing, on the whole. I cant see the UK ever coming up with a huge multi serires, mega budget amazing tv series, of the likes of BB, Sopranos, Dexter, Homeland, The wire, TWD etc, Even though there's plenty of British actors in those series.
I s'pose David Attenborough is still delivering the goods, and other BBC wildlife programs and other documetaries are often very good, esp Louis Theroux ones. Documentaries seem to be the one thing the UK does well. Oh and Have I got News For You is about it, as far as current comedy goes.
