Why do atheists only seem to go after the Judeao-Christian religion?

It has nothing to do with misery. It's a mathematical fact. The misery is that no one questions it.
 
They are all dates the sun increases or decreases in strength or is at its highest or lowest point. They are very significant astronomical marking days. There is no holy reason why they should all be celebrated in some "way" in a Christian society.

I have nothing against holidays to celebrate the existance of Christ. It just sits uneasy with me how they are all synchronised with solar (or lunar) activity.

Anyway, when all this was started most people were illiterate and too stupid to realise. Not something they would have seen coming.

Pagan beliefs got mixed in with Christian beliefs. Christianity doesn't get its beliefs from pagan beliefs. YES, this sits uneasy with me too.
But I dont believe for a second Christianity is compromised of pagan beliefs mixed together as some claim
Some deceived people are attempting to lay an egg on the Christian belief in hopes it will hatch.
The best lie is one that uses truth as its core.
We've been reminded of this time and time again over history.

That's why I don subscribe to any specific man
made dogma. I have ears and a mind to hear for myself, I need no man telling me what to believe.
The deciever is good at his craft if you give him half chance.
 
Yes, but "He" can never distinguish the spirit of Christ and its effect on our minds, to his disadvantage.

I agree! A lot of people miss this or dont understand it.
The spirit (holy spirit) is pure truth. It is not your soul.
There are many, many, many souls of which you have one, but only ONE spirit. It is absolute truth. Somehow it is outside matter and energy. It just is ( I know that is poor definition) It purifies the word and obtaining it allows use to not be defeated by the deciever.
 
It's a personal experience between you and Christ. When you get to that point you can't really share it with anyone. It's not something that can be intellectualised away because it's way above intellect.

Very true. I wish I could share everything that has been revealed to me. Sadly I know I cant. I wouldn't have listened to me 10years ago.
When your in the light you have to just keep trying to stay in it.
I dont apologize for being in the light just because someone else isnt

You sound rather Gnostic Christian like. We too are free thinkers and see all scriptures and gods as myths until we force our apotheosis. Only then to we give any reality to anything of an unseen world. Wee do not believe in woo.

I'm glad you believe in Jesus. The very authority he spoke with should make pay attention.

When Jesus said" before Abraham was "I AM"
the spirit chose these words for a reason.
He could have said I was if he merely wanted to show he was born before Abraham.
He said "I am" preceed by "truly, truly, truly" to drive home point he was around before creation. He is a one with the father and everything he does with align with him

Point me to the passages in the bible that date Jesus birth (etc), will ya..

When people switched religion, when churches switched with them, they kept their holidays.

yeah, never said it gave the exact second of his birth.
I feel like your about to go into a rant about how Jesus never existed.
And yes, pagans kept some of their believes , while adopting Christianity. I am aware of the holidays.
I dont have any plans for Halloween.

Suggesting Jesus was born around late Summer.. So why do people celebrate his birthday at the same time Pagans celebrate Yule?

I do not believe in Jesus in the way you seem to think.

Jesus is a myth of an archetypal good man. That is all.

I do promote the method for internalizing a myth that the scribes attributed to Jesus. That is not quite the same as believing in Jesus. To believe in the bible Jesus is to believe in woo and read scriptures literally and Gnostic Christians are not into either of those mind killing activities.

We pity those who are as that has cause a lot of harm, Dark Ages and Inquisition.
