Thanks Evey

the language is absolutely horrible! The pronunciation is impossible! 8( still I'm coping, thankfully most peoples English seems to be pretty good over here
That's ace that some people can speak English. I think I saw Jesus (can't remember his full name at mo) saying that people speak English there, which would help. Someone actually told me once that the best way to learn a second language is to live amongst the people whom speak that particular language and I think soon you'll pick it up n wonder who you ever found it difficult. If you're forced to - and have no other way of communicating, that is. But I s'pose it may happen slower if people tend to speak English. Not a language person myself, but as you're there I'd take the opportunity to learn it.
I'm not sure which part of part of Ireland you're from (visited Dublin in 2004 to watch RHCP n LOVE the Dublin/Irish, such friendly, hospitable, people) and so I'm no sure if many Polish people visit there. We have 20,000 Polish emigrants in my location alone (not the whole of Wales lol). It's often frustratin when they speak in their own language as I can't understand it. Don't get me wrong I'm not judging them, as you know it's difficult having to speak another language so it's perfectly understandable.
All that waffle aside (Spliff Politics will be waggling his young finger :D ) But if you learnt it from your experience, and were to travel to the UK, you would be able to listen / n communicate with them. Would be useful if whatever your chosen career will be, involves travel / liaising with people of many different nationalities.
All that "shyte" aside :D I hope you benefit from, and thoroughly get the best out of your trip n enjoy it too xxxx
Bless you, and thanks. It's still pretty fresh in my mind (four months ago) but life goes on. I feel for you having to watch that - heartbreaking isn't the word. Just try and take any lessons from it that you can. Said the hypocrite.
Seconded. It shows a massive leap in your determination to actually address the underlying causes of your problems.
No doctor was going to take you seriously while you were still trying to induce psychosis and tap them up for medication. It's important to see things from their point of view, and to regard the services as a privilege rather than something to be used for your own ends.
Which is not to dismiss your previous declarations of suicidal ideation; I've no doubt they were genuine and that you were in a very bad place. It's just hard to take these things seriously when you're seemingly making every conceivable effort to drive yourself potty through drugs (and particularly notorious ones at that), despite a lot of advice and support from people on this site to the contrary.
I hope this newfound attitude is here to stay. Being mentally ill isn't something you want to take lightly.
Good luck.
Extremely wise n well written post, Sammy G. I totally agree n am extremely pleased for you, FG, that your are seeking help. It was very difficult sitting back, seeing you in pain n knowing there was nothing I could do to help you. As others have said PLEASE LISTEN TO THEIR ADVICE!!!! They can help you , yes, but only if you meet them half way n do your part too.
I'm assuming that the induced psychosis was a means of escape yeah ?! I, and NO ONE here can judge you for that. Especially the addicts amongst us who do silly, harmful things on a periodic basic with their DoC as means of escape the pain, hurt, intense emotions n so on, n so on.
Keep fighting. Think of us as your silent army, fighting with you in spirit n through words of support, honesty n encouragement.
Sammy G I didn't know that your Dad paased. I'm sincerely sorry to hear that, I really am
