Recently munched pasta with tomatoey sauce, chicken and pesto. Tastier than I was expecting but my hopes weren't overly high to begin with. Got some expensive (thus heavily reduced) yoghurt with salted toffee for pud at some point later. What is it with everything suddently being salted toffee flavour?

Just on its own? How did you manage that? Did you just microwave a slab of cheese?
 
Do you not feel a tad guilty about eating foie gras? I had it once to see what the fuss was about and felt pretty awful eating it. :\

Pakoras look good though.
 
No, I wouldn't say it was particularly cruel if you buy good quality. The animals certainly live a far better life than most mass produced poultry.
 
Hah, I can't imagine that one working=D

The closest I've got to that is ham cooked in coca-cola I think which is really nice if you get it right.
 
I've had ham cooked in cola before myself actually. MamaSham did it one Xmas I do believe. Was tasty although couldn't quite put my finger on what the coke actually did it seemed to do something worthwhile.

Piri-Piri and salted toffee not working? Pfft. Didn't you used to work at the Fat Duck :D

Deep fried lasagne in a garlic brioche bun. Healthy

Not in public I don't cos I'd be lynched what with not being Welsh and all that. I have Welsh ancestry but only moved here about ten years ago to get away from a few Bad Things of which you (and everybody else) would be aware of. I'm from London originally. And no, I don't have a fackin London accent either. No idea what my accent is really. Generic southernish I suppose.
 
Yeah I thought you'd say that actually. Was pretty sure you weren't really Welsh at least, must've seen you mention it before. Generic southernish, bit like all the accents I've grown up around then :P And like mine of course, though mine leans on the posher side of southern (or so I'm told).
 
I've often been told my accent is a bit posh. Loadsa peeps seem to think I went to public school. It's hard to imagine anything further from the truth. I am a bit of a ponce, mind. It's probably just that cos my accent definitely ain't posh.
 
The deep fried lasagne in garlic bread looks good. That's a pretty pimp idea. Not exactly refined but it looks good (but carbtastic).
 
It's the curst of being from the south (well, London area) I suppose. People at high school used to ask me if I was rich - bear in mind these are people from the same area. Apparently I get more posh when I'm drunk as well. I don't mind, it's nice to speak properly but I don't think I'm overly posh sounding. Hard to tell with your own voice though.
