LMFAO I was sacked once n it was a bloody relief. They were all a load of backstabbing b**** plotting n scheming to get rid of people. The stress was UNBELIEVABLE.... My mam came to tell me my Nain was in hospital from a stroke, went back and they sacked me - a few days later my Nain died, b*******....

Nice one about Peep Show... Used to watch that with my ex, getting fucked on Brandy... Classics!....

Things are a bit rough, my work were unfair and I got nutt sacked. Im pissed of with myself, one month of no drinking then go into work without sleep stinking of booze, anf try and help people fix their computers, it was a bit difficult to say the least, but we should all be given chances. I can't mope around in my own self pity for much longer, the only way is up.

Peep show is timeless.

That's work for ya. I was totally obsessed with my job, worked through every lunch hour, break etc.... yet they still sacked me while my Nain was dying.... I'm sorry to hear that you got sacked....

But I'll give you an example from my experience - had I have not been sacked in 2006, I would not have ended up completing a Psychology degree. As one door closes, another opens. Think about what you really want in life n use this time to go out n grab it. Thinking of you.

Yes, of course you do. When I lost my job in 2006 I also lost my Nain - thought my world was ending but then I contacted the Open university and did a Psychology degree. Continued it whilst but administrative assistance for Local health Board, completing counselling certificate, text processing diploma, introduction to mental health course and carrying on a relationship with my, now, ex. I would not have had those opportunities had I not have been sacked....

In a nutshell it may seem like the end of the world but what is a negative can really be a positive. I went on some of the most memorable and enjoyable residential schools with the open university. We had to work from 7 am until like 10 pm but we also enjoy ourselves too. I got to travel under the London underground. Had I been stuck in the job where it was full of bitchiness and backstabbing I'd have NEVER got to experience any of that stuff...

You'll get your chance if only you use this time to truly think and look into that.... See this as a positive and not a negative.

My Nain Peggy meant everything to me and I believe that, although she had died at that time, she somehow gave me strength to get through that time and seek new adventures.

Oh you don't need to thank me, HF, that is letting ego into my life. This is obviously the universe letting us connect paths at the precious moment so I could use my experience to help you. All's good!

I'm considering leaving the neathrock space I infest. Doubt it'll make me want to watch many opening ceremonies on the BBC though. Nor anywhere else I suspect.

The term 'ppening ceremony' suggests sportball but that's just finished hasn't it? Not that it ever bloody finishes these days. Which version of it is it this time? It's either some form of sportball or some form of competetive dancing surely. Why Dan would be watching either is somewhat :sus:
 
Opening ceremony for the commonwealth games, i was gonna turn it off but its so shite its gone to a different level of shite-ness, become intriguing, cant bring myself to turn it off at the mo. i'd love to hear frankie boyles thoughts on this, absolutely rip it to bits
 
I think "so shite I can't turn it off" must be the reason a lot of people still have TV licenses.. I did hear something on Facebook about dancing Tunnocks Teacakes, so it can't have been that bad.
