The series with the trinity killer was best imo. I can't remember when it went down hill but after 5 sounds about right. I'm just finishing up 3 again atm. You're too right about the last season, what a let down, after all the years I'd spent watching it and waiting for the end I felt kind of gutted really.

All of my favourite films are Edward Norton films pretty much. American History X, Fight Club, The Illusionist... I did make a goal to try and watch every film he's ever done but it's been forgotten recently, I'll have to get back to it in the summer. I'm more of a TV series person though, you don't have to stay focused for as long haha. Currently rewatching Dexter, the first series' are so much better than the later ones.

the prestige was better than the illusionist :P

anyone seen Riddick? :) saw it one night blasted on MXE, dont know if it was the drugs but the movie proved a cg alien dog acts better than vin diesel. Also, i wonder how karl urban got dragged in (albeit in a small cameoish role)

In non-Miyazake anime news, you seem the kinda chap who's probably already seen Grave of the Fireflies but if not you (and all) should (linky is to the subbed version, dubbed down the right hand side but will be missing much atmosphere). Second only to When the Wind Blows in terms of post-nuclear holocaust bleakness and uncanny ability to bring tears to eyes via the medium of hand-drawn animations.

EDIT: And it got made into a live action fillum apparently. Not seen it but could go either way and quite drastically either way. Interested though cos if it's good it should be very, very good... and if it is bad 'twill be horrid. No worries about the copyright infringement cos is PooToob and they are allowed to infringe copyright cos Google sez so.

Grave of the fireflies is a stinking, amazing anime! Watched it on a horrendous comedown and stuffed full of ket - was perfect <3

Can anyone tell me if there are any decent films coming up on freeview TV? I've looked at the tv guide and nothing's leaping out at me, but it's about a month since I watched a film and it's killing me. :D

History Boys is on iPlayer at the moment. Worth a go, even if it's a bit of an ageing, gay, intellectual dude's fantasy about what sixth formers are like.

Tis a good film indeed. Forgot to say that iplayer isn't an option at the moment as I'd pay a fortune (well, more than I'd like to..) on mobile broadband.. ;)

Wizard: Look at it this way. A man takes a job, you know? And that job - I mean, like that - That becomes what he is. You know, like - You do a thing and that's what you are. Like I've been a cabbie for thirteen years. Ten years at night. I still don't own my own cab. You know why? Because I don't want to. That must be what I want. To be on the night shift drivin' somebody else's cab. You understand? I mean, you become - You get a job, you become the job. One guy lives in Brooklyn. One guy lives in Sutton Place. You got a lawyer. Another guy's a doctor. Another guy dies. Another guy gets well. People are born, y'know? I envy you, your youth. Go on, get laid, get drunk. Do anything. You got no choice, anyway. I mean, we're all fucked. More or less, ya know.

Travis Bickle: I don't know. That's about the dumbest thing I ever heard.

Wizard: It's not Bertrand Russell. But what do you want? I'm a cabbie. What do I know? I don't even know what the fuck you're talking about.

Travis Bickle: Maybe I don't know either.

Swampdragoness what channels do you have on your frieview? Do you have film 4? You could always just buy a film to watch online on say
http://film4od.film4.com/
Quite excited actually as they have Dallas buyers club there for £3.49 rental
Of course there is free month trial with netfux and probably love film...

I think I read that 'The Hole' is on at 9pm film 4 tonight?

<3
I am sure people would send you better links for streaming/downloading films that non tecky 'ere knows nowt about. I would invest in a Roku box especially if you like B movies and odd stuff like 70s blacksploitation films and all manner of off beat stuff...

And of course there are quite a lot of films in there entirity on Youtube too now..
