Swampy let's hope we both get somewhere where they cared about their garden..or even a garden actually..gutting. I designed and made so many pieces of ceramics explicitly for particular parts an gaps on our garden wall too...sighh..ahh well. Nowt we can do.
Nah, not much hope of a garden for me.. I'm more worried that whoever takes over this garden is going to spray it with chemicals and kill all my wildlife. :/

I'll have to get hold of that. I loved Mad, Bad, and Dangerous To Know.

The reviews said it covers a lot of the same stories as before but I don't mind. There are extra snippets & I suspect some of it is from a different perspective. I probably would haev eventually got around to re-reading Mad, Bad & Dangerous to know anyway, so...

I was going to compare the 2 books myself but my copy of Mad, Bad & Dangerous to Know is at my Parent's house.

I feel like dung

Ditto.

Having not taken Meph in 8 months & it going on a wee bit longer than intended, I've got a bit of a comedown.

It was alright but I won't be taking any again for a while!

I don't know if anyone else gets the same from comedowns where you get really sensitive to emotions, getting really nostalgic & stuff for a day or two... makes catching up with The Voice all the more fun :D

Haha, I know what you mean - nearly shed a tear at a big happy dug on the telly the other week.

I think I had a couple of lines of meph last night off one of my mates. I can still smell it. Haven't seen anyone with it round here for a long time before then. Cunts were on the hunt for ketamine but we had no luck.

What's folks opinions on this. Had an argument with my flatmate and another one of my mates about this last night. There's a few shitty dance nights on round here where they get random unknown DJs to do the "warm-up" sets. All they care about is how many tickets the DJ can shift. If the DJ sells all his tickets for the pre-party then he gets to play at the main event the following month(playing before a reasonably big name DJ). Lucky if they play for an hour, probably more like 45 min sets to cram more cunts on the bill and therefore get more of their mates in. The DJs don't get paid.

A pair of folk I know played for these guys recently, apparently they were total guff at the pre-party thing, couldn't work the mixer properly and kept accidentally stopping the music in between tunes. Yet they then went on to play a better timeslot at a better club the following month because they brought a load of mates.

Both of them thought this was OK, that that's what folk need to do to get experience or whatever and that it's fine because they would happily play for free anyway (they also seem to think it's ok for cunts to be shit at what they do but get by on their bored mates support). I think it's an absolute mile-out. Not only are they not paying the DJ to play tunes, they are also not paying them to promote their event and sell their tickets. It's a shady move from the promoter imo - who will be making money.

Thoughts? Am I totally wrong here? I'm not saying folk should stick rigidly to the "don't play for free" mantra, it's more the DJ then becoming an unpaid PR/ticket-shifter that gets on my tits (plus the not caring how good they actually are).

One of the first times I got properly munted on pills, I popped out the following morning to get some rizlas or something, and witnessed a dad teaching his kid to ride a bike without stabilisers for the first time. Cue me curled up in a ball on the pavement crying my eyes out...

Absolutely wildly nutted from this 6-APB, stronger than the older stuff i used to get, fuck me

haha yeah ive changed massively. Have occasionally done productive things over the last few years but probably havent posted about them much, rather than just getting hammered all the time. The ratio of time spent being productive to getting hammered is changing. It needed to be.

Good on you MDB there comes a time to grow up n take responsibility in life n you're doing it. Fair play mate xxxx

I was in the middle of re-watching Band of Brothers once whilst on a comedown, I almost cried hearing the title sequence (I love it, I never skip it on a single episode even though I'm probably on my 5th pass of the series by now, if not more :p) & then actually did cry watching the "Bastogne" episode... it's just so moving.

I'm sure there has been some instance of crying at a puppy advert or child playing, but I can't bring any to mind right now...
