We Love Cricket Thread 2nd Innings

Guys - I'm looking at the betting here for this match

England 2.14 (11/10)
Draw 3.74 (11/4)
Aussies 3.65 (13/5)

What do you thinik?.. Australia look value, England are 289-7 before play starts today is that right?.. Surely Australia should be able to get them out for about 350? Pardon my ignorance but is 350 a fairly achievable total for Australia to reach? Surely Anderson can't bowl another monster game like the first match?.. Any opinions would be appreciated

This is a poor score and probably England's wake-up call (as they seem to need one) when they lose this Test.

Do you think England will lose this test?... From my very limited knowledge it looks like Australia are in a good position but England are still favourites just over even money

I agree. Totally. But remember its two innings. But yeah, England can't keep getting themselves out of trouble second time around.

England are favourites because of market conditions rather than any realistic reflection of the state of the match. Aus are over-priced and a good bet. Percentages innit.

Yip thats what I thought myself, cheers SHM!!.. Got me bet on €14.95, profit €39.62 if Australia win

Up the Aussies =D

6.30pm.

Watson's useless review now responsible for getting Rogers out (who was too scared to review the ball missing leg stump).

I remember in high school when we were playing a really shit team we would reverse the batting order to make things interesting and give them a fighting chance. We did bowl a team out for 9 once so that didn't always work.

Australia couldn't really do much worse surely?

Some wonderful predicting this morning. 128 all out. God they're really useless aren't they?

Quick, move thread to new page.

Goddamn Australia, terrible!!.. the horses are keeping my Betfair a/c in balance though thankfully. I really need to stop betting cricket, I love the game but I know next to nothing about it

So much inexperience in this OZ team .

Like Damien Martyn said , to get picked for the Test Team you should be making big runs in the Sheffield Shield & County Cricket for along time .
Of course the pitches are an issue as well but that's a whole other debate .

How long before M. Hussey got a Baggy Green ?

These boys like Agar n Khawaja are just not ready for Big Boy Cricket .

Usman Khawaja's dismissal =D <3<3

"I've just sat down to watch the test. That was one of the worst cricket umpiring decisions I have ever seen. KRudd"
Kevin Rudd, Australian prime minister

"Usman Khawaja has every right to knock on the umpires door over lunch & just ask HOW?"
Tom Moody, former Australia batsman

"That is a ridiculous decision by both the on & off field umpires. DRS creating yet more controversy. Any wonder players don't walk!"
Alec Stewart, former England captain

"And people say you should Walk .... No chance when you get decisions like that...."
Michael Vaughan, former England captain

"DRS was introduced to eradicate the human howlers...humans are out to prove that no technology can eliminate human errors."
Aakash Chopra, former India batsman

"Umpires protecting each other is the main reason DRS is causing controversy!"
Scott Styris, former New Zealand allrounder

"Shocking decision to give #usmanKhwaja out. What is the technology there for? Umpires may need a trip to specsavers n get a hearing aid."
Azhar Mahmood, former Pakistan allrounder

"Thing to remember is that without DRS we would still be saying that was a shocking decision. Not the system's fault but those operating it."
Steve James, former England batsman

"Don't blame the DRS for that. Blame the numpty 3rd umpire. Poor!"
Iain O'Brien, former New Zealand bowler.

"Now that's bullshit !!! Sorry ... Now you all know why I hate DRS! Bullshit."
Dean Jones, former Australia batsman.

It's not like cricket isn't a slow enough game for the third umpire to get at least 3-4 views of a dismissal before the next ball is bowled. I just saw them digging up and replacing a a foot mark in the middle of an over for fuck sake. All this does is give India more leverage to not use it at all which is never good.
