Yeah I read Stipe saying that his main infulence for Murmur was the Birds and Patti
Murmur is still one of my all time faves

Personally I still think Life's rich pageant is better

orf to do some more gardening.

[re the EN word usage ... I assume given your stance, you've blacklisted Tarantino's movies then?]

I still havent seen inglorious and dganjo and yes i think he is an overrated hack.

Not a patch on a real directors like Paul Thomas Anderson or Todd Haynes or Todd Solondz ( have you seen dark horse yet ? its amazing ) or Danny Boyle

Enjoy the gardening !

I thought inglorious was ok, not really noteworthy in retrospect. Django was decent but it got too near the knuckle for me in a number of scenes. Really had to look away and felt like he was being exploitational. i love his screenwriting generally tho, can't fault him on that, and I still think he sharp, but I don't think he's seems to actually grow or develop his skills much as his career's gone on

Haven't seen dark Horse yet (been outside mainly for the last month while the weather's been grand), but I'll put it in my must see list with Holy Motors and Spring Breakers.

still love this track from the Django soundtrack tho.

[edit]

my fave track from Green
