There are millions of them everwhere in scotland, head for the hills mate, you wont be dissapointed, just spend a day in google first but it shouldn't be hard - good luck.
gotta make sure you find out your season for shrooms, cause australia may be different to yours

When you say "over here" do you mean Australia or Scotland? because if your talking about Australia that might be a bit late in some regions.

mmmmhhmm and you are........a smartass......ofcourse im not gonna eat these after 1 person has said yes and givin me the go ahead i study the shit out of the subject as much as i can behind a computer.then once i have the shrooms ima do a spore print (i got pretty much brown spores off mine)make sure all the gill colors match up and look out for other things i could use in a ID....im not planning on eating these until i have had like 3 experienced pickers verify them for me...
Please be careful man, 'cubes' don't grow on wood. Psilocybe Subaeruginosa is the mushroom you are probably looking for, but they don't grow on wood. They grow in and around woodlands, woodchips, things like that, but generally not directly out of a piece of wood (log, fallen tree etc). There are many lookalikes that do though, some are deadly, and my area currently has thousands of very convincing lookalikes growing out of wood left right and centre. Go to Shroomery and get your find ID'd before consuming
shit my bad,my bad i was ment to say subs and i could of worded that a bit better........i found the shrooms growing under a fallen log in the decomposed shit NOT growing directly off the wood itself.The big cunts i've found growing near the small ones but not under the log in a area with highish grass (very moist area infact it fucked my shoes up they got so wet)and lots of decay and sawdust from when someone cut down a few trees and thanks for the heads up man but yeah dont worry im not gonna consume these unless im %99 sure they are the ones......

jesus i fucked up...i do know the names of them thank you very much. my brain wasnt functioning at its fullest when i posted that so chill dude chill.......u should know i've been on here long enough to not just pick and eat and or go out in the feild without any research what so ever........i was with a experienced picker but hes used to ID'ing cubes (the ones that grow out of cow shit) so his ID attempt is pretty much usless hence why im trying to gather up as much info online as i can before taking a few to a doof and meet up with some people that have gone picking heaps of times and/or grow there own to give me the go ahead.....even then ill be a bit worried.also for ur last little smart ass statement. i've been researching mushrooms for 3-4 years (out of curiosity and for a horticulture course) i just havnt bothered going out picking so excuses me if i got my names mixed up.....treat other members with respect obviously you didn't bother...

Mate coming on here and saying that cubes grow on wood is dangerous period, you never know who is going to come and read the last page and take that to be true. Fair enough your brain wasn't at its fullest but you should really double check before you hit send. Your attitude is hilarious coming in here treating me like an asshole for correcting you, like if you claim cubes grow on wood I should not say anything and leave it for a few days for you to come and correct yourself and save face, regardless of who reads that misinformation in the meantime? I don't see how I am being a smart arse by saying you obviously didn't research THOROUGHLY, personally I don't see how anyone who had would make the mistake you did and on top of that it sounds to me like you got the wrong mushrooms since Psilocybe Subaeruginosa doesn't have a brown spore print. You have done a 180 since the last time you were here too, because on your original post you were boasting how you had hit the motherload and all of a sudden its not confirmed and you need 3 other pickers to tell you they are legit? Pick one story and stick with it mate.
You talk about treating other members with respect yet you come in here doing the opposite. All I did was correct your fuck up mate, if you are going to fuck up then expect to be called out on it, especially on a subject that can literally be life or death like picking mushrooms.
I don't really know why you believe the length of time you have been on here would lead me to give you the benefit of the doubt on matters of intelligence when I have personally seen you post a good number of stupid things on this site over the years....

Ok yer ok I agree with u there that listing the wrong name of the mushroom could be dangerous and I'm glad u jumped in and corrected my mistake and i hope u do it again if I make another fuck up like that....wat I'm ticked off about is the way you went about it ur attitude could of been a bit more umm levelheaded about it like a mod should.id like it if u could show me one of those disrespectful posts (besides the last 1-2 posts) ur on about oh and my "story" hasn't changed at all.maybe the wording...I fkn went out after a rainy night on a foggy morning and found a shitload of what I think to be are subs and picked em.i was planning always planing on get the shrooms IDed by my friends who have done plenty of picking in there time.even then I'd be very cautious consuming some shrooms I picked..also the spores from subs in aus atleast can range from dark brown to purple....well that's what I read anyways.maybe most of this shit should be sorted through PM and we get back onto the actual subject of mushrooms and I'm pretty sure a lot of us who've been on here a while have made there fair share of fuck ups

The last one or two posts are what I am referring to, it is pretty rich for you to expect respect from others but be unwilling to give it...
I would say there is a pretty big difference in the two stories between, you went with an experience picker and had such success there wasn't enough time to pick all the active mushrooms you have found, to now the guy doesn't know how to pick subs and you need other people to confirm it and going by the spore print theres probably a damn decent chance they aren't even right dude, I mean come on.
All I said is you obviously didn't research thoroughly and going by your result I am not incorrect. I mean it really doesn't take that much research to know what you are doing and you clearly don't know. I am not even having a go at you but it is important for you and everybody else to understand that going into this under prepared leaves you with a good chance of poisoning yourself or someone else. It is all well and good to say now you have other people that are going to identify your mushrooms for you (ever thought of flicking a pic up on shroomery.org btw? mushrooms only really last a couple of days fresh so if you might not have time to hook up with your friends this could be a good way to identify what you have gotten) but when you don't say that on here how is everybody supposed to guess that shit?

u dont get cubes in WA bro.
i have picked shrooms in 4 states and looking forward to having a look down south in WA this week. its been at least 6-7 years since i been picking in WA. be interesting to see whats changed.
Gold tops that stain blue in WA ftw think they are the same ones i picked in SA last year.

look I didint mean to offend you or risk anyone's life by making a mistake in naming the type mushroom of I think i have.im now %99 sure I have an active subs the ones with the nipple looking little lump in the middle of a golden brown mushroom(s) the spore prints are brown with a tinge of purple just like bruising. going brown as u squeeze them tight with small purple droplets going more and more purple over time once dried the bruising goes a very dark purple or blue. I mean it really doesn't take that much research to know what you are doing and you clearly don't know" that's the sort of shit I'm talking about making assumptions that I don't research my chemicals.fyi we've done hours and hours of research before and after we picked.i did take some photos on my iPhone so I will make an account on shroomery and put up a ID request cus I all my shrooms look similar some just a lot less mature than others got some small ones with long hollow stemband small head on top that I have seen people take at doofs I'm pretty sure they are baby's of

Fucking iPhone grrr% sorry for double post.babys of the nipple ones i have,I've got photos of them and there growing habit and gills stem ect.i found some growing in my back yard under a big bush that blocks sunlight and drops lots of rotting wood n leafs...they look pretty much the same as the over turned cap ones I picked but white I doubt it'll be active but still cool to knows
