⫸STICKY⫷ Official "I CANT POST" Megathread....with Mega-answers

I would love to search through all of this thread for an answer, but I actually wouldn't. So I'll just ask. I've registered for Bluelight, and when I did I checked my email for my confirmation link just like any other user. It wasn't there. It wasn't in the spam folder either. I've waited 12 hours. I've also tried "resending" said confirmation message to no avail. I use Comcast for email, but I have another email account on Google. Would you recommend trying to use that for a Bluelight account instead? Or what other steps would you suggest I take to solve this problem?
Thank you for your assistance.

well, i would suggest you read the first post in this thread which outlines what to do. but you actually won't. so i am not sure why i should help you here?

I did read it, which is why (as stated in my post) I checked my spam folder and had it resent... I think it's fairly reasonable that I don't wish to dig through the other 28 pages of this thread for an answer. Also, the search engine didn't yield any results that held answers to my problem.

looking back one page (or really anywhere in this thread), you would have seen posts from alasdairm saying this:

^ it's almost certainly in your spam folder (most gmail users don't even know they have a spam folder or where to find it...)

if you still can't find it, send an email to [email protected] from the email address on file for '[your username]', i'll activate you manually.

regards

alasdair

send an email from the same account you registered with to the email above and your account will be manually approved. you need to use the same email address you registered with.

Alright, thank you. Sorry if I was rude previously. I was a little bit irritate.

No worries. This forum is often frustrating for both members and moderators since the member is dealing with an issue that may be frustrating to them, and the moderator is dealing with a question that has been asked over and over.
Neither is the other persons fault and we can all move on from it. :D

Mistakingly, in the registration page I gave my old email account as current. I'm not exactly sure how I managed to pull that off. Forgive me once and please somehow get my new email address for registration.

I'm having trouble posting... Every post I make has to be 'moderated' and then isn't published until like 12+ hrs later? Is this because I have under 50 posts or something? Can somebody tell me when ill be able to post normally? I've never been on a forum where every post needs to be approved before its shown.. It makes the forum unusable. I want to respond to other people's comments but they can't read my response until hours later... ???!!

So I had a reply about this from a mod (thanks for your message Ocean). Apparently the BL spam shield is flagging me as a spammer, which means every post I make has to be approved before its published. I'm no spammer :( Im just a regular green lighter who's trying to make his way in this wide world...

Could the support guys please get my account off the spam list?

Also, I posted a couple of posts over on the Big and Dandy 25B thread. Will I need to rewrite those? Or are they still waiting somewhere to be approved?

Thanks

Hey it looks like I'm fixed. That last post came up straight away!

Guess I'll just go over and rewrite my posts on the big and dandy 25B thread.

Thanks for fixing me support!

^ I went to the thread to approve the post but saw you rewrote it so I kept it unapproved (actually I deleted it so another mod didn't see it and approve it which would have 2 posts by you of the same thing 2 posts apart in the same thread). I'm glad the spam issue is over with.

I swore I just posted here but it didn't show up. I swear I am not that effed up. Help?

OK that last one just showed up so maybe I imagined my first attempt. I have confirmed my account via email link but still am not able to post anywhere else. Am I trying to soon? Thank you in advance for any help!

Greetings ya'll. I am requesting assistance for I am having issues changing my account E-mail. I no longer have access to my original email which I apparently need in order to reactivate my account and change emails? I am afraid of deleting myself during next purge and would like to keep this info current so that wont happen

I also recieve a red message now that I've tried changing info, stating that my account isn't activates and I can't post, yet my account is still recognized and i could post up until i attempted to chamge that. Thank you for any help.

You don't need access to your old registered email address in order to change it to a new email address. That would defeat the point of being able to change your email. :D

When you changed email address, you'll need to confirm the change by clicking the link in the email that is sent through to your new address - a bit like when you first register with the forum.

Check your spam folder if you don't see it.

If you did not receive an email with a link in it, can you tell me if you used a Comcast address?
