Thatcher's dead

we wouldn't have needed all the bankers if the country still made stuff and got it out of the ground n that. this country is full of forgotten places.

Manufacturing went from 25% of the economy to 23%. Fact is we were deindustrialising as a country. Our industrial output has increased. We are doing more with less workers, so it's really efficiency savings that gradually killed these areas.

Wasn't Ed Milliband, and by extension the sad joke the Labour Party has become since Blair decided to ape, not reverse, the new ways, plain fucking pathetic in the Commons this afternoon? He disagreed with her antipathy to gay rights and support for apartheid? Radical, Eddie, that's telling'em. And you seem the last to know that, in the political game you think you're playing, the floating or middle of the road voter think you're a hopeless lame, too.

Diane Abbot did slightly better but, too often, you get the impression her main concern is Diane Abbott, a characteristic shared by all the Blair babes. ( a grand New Labour newspeak; anyone who ever considered them 'babes' clearly wasn't getting much ).

Thank heaven for the evergreen Glenda Jackson. The feisty thespian, who, in contrast, gave a generation bigscreen horn, ripens with age and really hit the word today. One member of the opposition who did her job, then. Er, maybe one or two others. Meanwhile, from the bosses benches, a united cacophony of believers hailing 'the woman who made Britain great again'.

Cry, the beloved country...

The Heil was saying 10m. You'd think they'd want to be playing down the costs really.

Anyhoo...

Daily Heil says John Lydon has condemned the death parties "I was her enemy in life but will not be her enemy in death" or something.

I vote for burial in northern ireland or south africa. That would be entertaining indeed.
