as an aside... its dangerous to continually build up hitler; the myth as some giant, tactical genius, personification-of-evil. hitler was a raving loon, who conspired through a plethora of strategic blunders into turning the most powerful military nation on the planet, into a burnt-out, bankrupt nation of rubble. it must be kept in mind that for the majority of the time the german population had complete and utter support for the nazis and only realised the extent of his insanity when they had already freely given up the checks and balances designed to keep check on megalomaniac politicians and by which time it was far too late to do anything but acquiesce. hitler was - at the end of the day - a politician, an extreme example - but a politician nontheless. forget the past and you are doomed to repeat it ad infinitum
