Not that there's much doubt here. It's just one his many gems. Quite appropraite now.

(I nicked the idea off Andrew Marr's program on Thatcher vs the miners.)

I was exagerating a bit about the uni attendance thing, I turned up for 1 lecture every now and then, all the stuffy lot clearly hated me. I had a small group of friends. I was largely outcast though.
 
Yeah so the Bitch is dead but i think that the folk in pictures like this

and many others look like they are far to young to know or be effected by anything that she did .

I can't stand middle class trendies trying to be something they aren't . I mean they look soooo working class 8) I'm sure their parents voted for Thatcher .

Nowt worse than a fake .

I'm too young to have been affected much by world war 2.. I still don't like Hitler.

Yeah i know it's a big assumption but i bet a good percentage of the folk out celebrating in Public who are under 25 r were not effected by the Iron Lady directly or indirectly they just want to " Be down with the working Class "

Oh yaeh no one has mentioned that She treated all Football supporters as Criminals . I know the 80s were bad years for footy but she tarred us all with that brush n i ain't even talking about Hillsborough or Bradford
 
You can still dislike her for what she did / stood for without being directly affected by her..

Chances are their parents were, meaning they were..

Pretty big assumptions brimz. Judging by appearances? I'm surprised at you.

And what their parents voted for has no bearing on what their own political views are "permitted" to be.

(I do agree that particular photo seems to be of some especially annoyingly irksome types =D )

Yeah I wasn't at hillsborough etc but I appreciate why the Liverpool fans, football fans, and just decent humans were and still are so pissed off about it....

I can see what you mean. 3/4 of them are definately not working class. (The middle class can be socialist too though - look at knock :p sorry knock) The girl with the black duffel coat and all the badges could be the genuine working class hero.

I bet there are plenty of Bandwagon jumpers just doing it cos it "edgy & Cool " that photo is a prime example .

I ain't talkin about Hillborough or Bradford i'm talking about the way that all of us Footy Fans were instant criminals in her eyes .
 
Let's just say that when the revolution comes, those hipster toss pots will not be on your side when your back is against the wall. They will be trembling in mummy and daddys 4 bed detatched next to the Aga hoping their precious cul de sac is safe.

Socialism is an almost exclusively middle class pursuit these days. What is the saying? Those with castles want to build walls...

Some of us remember Brimz. Though obviously not Dave Whelan who wants a minutes silence at Wigan. They will be asking for a minutes silence at closed down pits next.

Thatcher did her best to kill football. I remember the contempt she held fans in and how it was pretty uncool to say you went to football matches in the Eighties.

PS, SWP girls picture is pretty funny.

Whelan is a fukin knob on all counts though ain't he ?

Sense has prevailed n there will not be any Minutes silence at footy this weekend . As if it would have been obeyed , i would of gone to a game just to disrupt it ,Honestly .
