Thatcher's dead

As her 'share giveaway' resulted in the little people ending up with a bunch of worthless paper and the far cats got very rich, so a lot of aspirants wound up owning unsaleable properties and the next generation found no council houses available. There are, however, ridiculously overpriced 'luxury developments' crammed into every former bit of waste ground in the south for the Thatcher kind of achiever. Across from me, a former family house and garden is now a solid mass of concrete solving the housing problems of 128 students in 64 'units'. Happy days for property developers and speculators; no longer the unacceptable face of capitalism and suddenly very rich indeed. No wonder the shallow and the love Mad Mags.

Personally, I'd stick her 3 foot in front of the cannon, open up with both barrels and blow her into dust

Thatcher may be dead; but I see no cause for celebration in the passing of a weak and frail old woman who, for a whole generation, had been powerless, leaving five other governments free to rescind the most danaging of her bad decisions in the meantime.

When we have full employment, fair taxes, decent benefits paid promptly to those who need them, public ownership of essential utilities, food and energy security, affordable homes for everyone, free education to at least B.Sc. level and full marriage equality ..... Then will be the time to party.

I agree with the sentiment, although not the specific goals, admirable though they are. But I think there's a place for those who had a hard time under thatcher, and after her as a result of her policies, to have a wee shindig to lighten their spirits and no-one gets hurt! This place is it :) (on BL anyway)

I agree with most of that apart from the bit about the BScs. A degree from a shit polytechnic/uni is worthless nowadays. I had far a far better education and teachers for my A levels than the ones I had at uni. So i totally disengaged from it and became that despised druggie who never turned up to lectures.

It also seems the Daily Mail are upset the some people are airing opposite views!

And of course all at the BBC are Marxist's so it is getting a mention to!

Ah the Daily Mail. Your so shite but yet funny

Come on Glitter, we all know the real reason why your there..

George Galloway said:
thatcher described mandela as a terrorist. i was there, i saw her lips move

if anyone should know a terrorist when he sees one its good ol charity-fund-obfuscating george, friend to those bastions of democracy, castro and chavez. what else would you refer to mandela as then? he planted bombs to affect a political change, seems like a fairly aposite definition of terrorist to me

oh well, he'll be answering to god before long too. not one of those minor african jobs either, but the jealous, vengeful, sodomite-burning chap of the old testament. good luck nelson

true, degrees are worthless largely because unis have been packed full of people who should have been working down mines.
