Do you think people care if they see me smoking weed?

People are gonna talk shit, but I gotta smoke before driving. One friend won't give me the keys Unless I smoke. Roll a blunt that you can hit a couple times and put out, so it lasts while you're out. I wouldn't sweat it, but I also live in Cleveland, OH, where 90% of people smoke, or have.

I think it depends on the person. In the inner city I would guess that they would more more tolerable with it, but where I'm from (small suburb) not so much. Someone has called the cops on me and a buddy for smoking a blunt on his porch.

I have heard of people calling the cops cause they smelled weed coming from an apartment. With the stigma that weed has and the fact that your in your car someone could easily call. And if you get caught in your car by an undercover cop they can say you had intent to drive and throw a DUI on top of a weed charge. So its pretty scary when you think about it. I would hate to see another productive citizen get arrested for something stupid like that but it happens everyday.

What everyone else has said, smoking and driving is a definate no no. No clue what arizona is like, but in london if your in central london with no where to smoke inside or in a park, you go of a main road to the streets that run parallel to them and walk taking a turn each time you can without turning onto one of the main roads constantly moving. Often these roads have things like fastfood places or restraunts or ocassionally a pub. There are people walking around and will look disaprovingly if they spot you but won't call the police since your walking. What are they gonna call them and tell them. "There's a guy with a spliff on this road", "how long as he been there" "30 seconds.... he's not actually here any more" Enough people on them for it not to be immediately obvious where the source is coming from so if anything is up you can chuck it carry on walking pretend like it's not you, get on to a main road and you're pretty much free to walk into any shop dissapear. But people in london rudebois smoking weed isn't too uncommon a site in london, I would find it hard to believe tat even the type of people that would call up the police would do if it wasn't outside there house. Don't dress like you smoke weed as well, that will make a big differance. Also British laws are more lenient.
But yeah find the nearest park then commute there on public transport and eat lunch whilst commuting if you feel like your short on time.

Man it must suck to live somewhere where people are always around. I live in a place which has more land then california but only has a population of 40 thousand. I can smoke pretty much anywhere in town except main street, although can on most streets. Also a ton of forest and can always go for a nice forest smoke walk.

does it really take that much attention to smoke and drive? I do it all the time and don't think there is any more risk then looking down at the floor mat for a second. Especially with all the new portable smoking vapes like Launch Boxes and G pens

It's not the process of smoking that's the especially dangerous part (although that is also dangerous) it's the being high whilst driving part that is.

Yeah, the whole driving element does make this all much harder to accept. Just imagine if you hit a kid while blazed?

my advise is based on my own experience . . . just smoke with / around your friends and noone else. good luck with it all . .

In the spirit of I do what I want, I smoke, drive, and then drive high almost every single day. No fucks given.
My opinion? This is no different than hitting a kid whilst sober, and I also don't differentiate between hitting a child I don't know and hitting an adult I don't know. Either way, they're getting fucked up and I'm getting fucked. Society may not agree with me but her and I haven't seen eye-to-eye in quite some time now.

Well no obviously there isn't a difference between hitting a kid sober and hitting a kid high, but being high makes it more likely to happen and generally the idea is that if you hit a kid high it a lot of the time could have been avoided if you were sober.
As for hitting a child or a adult (though this has nothing to do with the thread) the reason why hitting a kid is worse is because it's far harder to get over the death of your child than anyone else, a parent, sibling, spouse or friend. I am not a parent, but I'm sure anyone who is would concur. I can think of nothing I personally would dread more. Hey even if you disagree, hitting anyone ain't good and if it can be avoided by your day being a bit more boring or enjoyable because you were sober, then boo-hoo your just going to have to figure out a way of dealing with the dreadful unimaginable horror that is being sober....
That was my point, only I don't think driving high impairs my ability to drive safely and otherwise legally (you know, except for the smoking/being high part). I don't want to hit anybody when I'm on the road, but if it were to happen I I like to think I'd treat each situation the same regardless of what kind of person I hit.

I find that difficult to believe if I'm perfectly honest. I wouldn't risk driving whilst high. I can barely stay focused on a movie for two hours whilst properly baked, let alone the road. I do appreciate cannabis affects everyone differently, but you thinking your driving abilities aren't impaired doesn't make it so.

I can drive just fine high, but the act of smoking it while driving can be distracting at times. Hence, hitting a gravel. The only thing you gotta worry about hitting is that fucking dog that likes to run outta the ditch and scare the shit outta me.
I sometimes just hit the highway, because it's pretty dead after night falls. But I always get the feeling a deer is going dart out in the road when I'm taking a hit.

If we're speaking subjectively, there's little that I do stone cold sober. Among that short list of things is eating breakfast and waking up, and more days than not those two don't even make the list. Point being, I've got a whole lot of practice functioning on a normal level with a little bit of herbal in my system and feel confident my driving record is cleaner than 98% of the general population, with all instances involving law enforcement excluding substance possession and use.
It might also help that I know these county roads like the back of my hand. I spend a lot of time on them and feel like I could damn near drive 'em blindfolded.
I wouldn't chance it purely because someone would most likely call the cops. As for driving high... It depends on your tolerance and/or intelligence. An example of this. I will let my friends drive stoned because they have built up a high tolerance and it doesn't affect them that much. I will left anyone in my family drive stoned because i know they're not stupid enough to drive if they're too bloody stoned. I personally prefer riding my bike stoned because it's the only time i can stick to the speed limit without requiring a conscious effort.
