What new (or old) game do you love?

What do they call it Mendo? Sandbox? What does that mean?

That's why you have to get at release MM if you are going to so you experience it fresh, feels a little stale after everyone has been banging on about it and it saturates the adverts and stuff.

Mendo that may have been the case with the PC version but it still looked loads better than either console.
 
No, really, I'm not a gamer....I had an xbox, and a dreamcast before it, xbox was really just for San Andreas...

I really don't care if I get it a year after everyone else...

So envious of Urbain then if he is testing the new GTA.
I can't wait for it to come out. The GTA games are the only games I ever go back to play once completed. In fact I'm just about half way through GTA IV again at the moment and still discovering things I've not seen or done before.

I tested GTA 4 before, and they kept me on file.

And I badgered them with emails this year.
 
Going to buy a new CPU and graphics card, need it of course oh and so It can handle the release of GTA of course :O

That said I'm not one for the newer generation of consoles; still got my Mega Drive in perfect working order 20 years on, SNES and Master System still going. Would have a Spectrum if my Dad would part with it. Got a PS3 though and I love some of the PSN stuff coming out; Journey is fantastic, and Dead Nation is probably my favourite multiplayer game ever, tense as fuck and genuinely felt like a hero when me and my mate two-manned it to the end where he died in the final battle and I finished it myself.

Loving my DS at the moment most of all, Super Mario 3D Land is absolutely breathtaking, can't get over how well they've done the 3D element, and how well it works without it too. Really good one to pick up and play for half an hour or so, put down, and go back to. Also Pokemon Black 2 (shut up) and the Professor Layton series. I sort of have a crush on Prof Layton (shut up again).
 
Ooh I need to play that, think we actually have a copy kicking round the house. Thinking of starting Dead Rising too, definitely have that. Love me some survival horror.
 
Shall do :D We've got three PS3s in the house so it's defo doable. In the most practical sense, anyway. I suspect the actual teamwork may take a little more effort and coordination...

Sorta like when we play 'co-op' Streets of Rage. Whoever decided to make all them old beat 'em ups so you can cane your partner was simultaneously a cunt and a genius. Have had huge rows over Golden Axe with one of my best mates hahaha, like he nicks my turkey leg and magic pots so I kick the shit out of his bird-lizard mount and run off with it.

edit: don't even get me started on Gauntlet

yeah such a good game, amazing soundtrack as well, and vice city
 
Has there been a GTA game since San Andreas, or will gta5 be the first one?

If there was, I guess it wssn't very good, as nobody seems to mention it.

Not played it meself though. Installed it on me lappy but didn't seem to work properly. Probably just me being to dozy to work it out though :o
 
I think it must have been a bit shit, all the serious, or semi-serious gamers on here seem to rate San Andreas, even Vice City, but not heard much in praise of GTA4.

Did any of you buy it (and actually play it)? Was it shit, or in some way not as good as the others.

How do we know GTA5 won't be similar?

Were you all as excited by the imminent release of GTA4 as you are about GTA5?
