Hehe. My frozen food storage area is compact and bijou, Mugzy. The state of any other flaps of mine are a closely guarded trade secret ;)

And really was bargain city today. Gotta family size "Just Steak" Pukka pie for dins tonight (and tomorrow night and maybe the night after 8)) for 87p. So cheap I had to get two. Few other bobz too. Very pleased with £20 including 10 beers and the full-price stuff too though.

Ben: Oh ours is the same too. Usually lucky to get more than about 50p off in the reduced section but if you catch 'em at the right time and they've got loadsa stuff about to go out of date you can get some proper bargains.
 
Time for my outing to the shops, just put on a hoodie and a really warm jacket too that I've been complimented on 4 times now by people at the recovery centre, it's funny that I used to call it my "drug dealer" jacket as it looks kinda like a jacket a drug dealer would wear, lol, and then it's the druggies that comment on it too.

I'll try and stay away from the alcohol section, but need to get a new razor as I left that abroad recently and have about 4 spare blades for it here so gonna go spend £6-7 on a new razor to fit the blades, razors are such a fucking rip off. If I've got time, or if I can be bothered, am quite liking my longer hair I might go get a haircut after, or may leave it like this for a while longer.
 
How about just stay away, not try and stay away? Also, get a haircut.

(I'm pretending that you're something out of The Sims or my tamagotchi by the way, controlling aspects of your life over the internet 8( )

And yes, razor blades are a ridiculous con.

Got some dentist questions to ask if anyone can help.
I have a chipped front tooth that needs a cap put on it. I'm on the dole so do I still have to pay for it and if I do have to pay does it have to be paid off in one go or do dentists allow you to pay in installments?
Went to see the doctor at my drug service yesterday and have put on another 2kg since last month.Am up to 11stone 9lb now which is most I've weighed for years.
Am well chuffed as used to find it so hard to put weight on but I want to put on as much as I can before seeing my son next month.

HEHE!:D maybe put me down for a while and let me control my own life, I'm rapidly learning.

Just got back, gonna have to go out again now as I got distracted by a call from my key worker saying my assessment for detox/rehab has been moved forward to tomorrow after I missed the Tuesday appointment and it was originally rescheduled for next Thursday so I got a bit happy at that, bought some pistachios and only 2 bottles of stella cider for the taste as they wont get me drunk and forgot about the razor. Gonna go out again now and get those that razor stick.

Depends on the dentist from my experience, it's normally non NHS dentists that let you do a payment plan but I think my local NHS dentist allows you to pay in up to 3 instalments rather than all in one go if you are in hardship.
 
Oh wow, you've got a date for that now? Is that going to be the first time you've seen him ever, sorry, can't remember if you were around when he was much younger?


@mugz: I had two and a half pints 'for the taste' last night and I still feel less than top notch today. Getting older has dramatically diminished my ability to tan can after can and function like a normal person on the following day.

Hey max, as far as I know all dental treatment on the NHS is free. It is on ESA anyway.
Congrats on filling out I bet your son will be chuffed to bit's seeing you look so well <3
 
Thanks for the advice about the dentist everybody.
Yes Jan and Ben will be the first time I will have seen my son since he was 4months old and he is now 19.
He has sent me photos and he really looks like me (lucky lad), my mates actually thought the photos were of me as a teenager.
He is going to Norwich on March 12th to stay at my sisters place as that is where all my family are based and I'm going up to see him for a couple of days,can't bloody wait.
 
Got some razors, disposable ones as neither the pharmacy, the co-op or the local convenience store in the same little block of shops had sticks for the blades I've got so will now have to suffer the pain of shaving my lengthened/not too lengthened but still longer than usual facial hair with a razor with only 2 blades rather than the 5 I am accustomed to!!

Yes mate, am bricking it but it has got to be worse for him being away from his home meeting all my family that he won't know.
It is a day that I dreamed would happen for the last 19years so I just hope everything goes ok.
I'm just glad the reunion didn't happen on the Jeremy Kyle show, what a fucking nightmare that would have been.

Got an electric shaver and never looked back, no need to buy shaving foam, or new razers. Also never cut yourself. I shave every other day, which is kind of annoying at the age of 21 I have a beard after 2 days but just the way it is. Electric shaver probally last me like 2.5+ years and for about £60
 
Good point, you'll have to be on your top game that day trying to take all that into account and looking out for your son and trying to make sure it's not too overwhelming for him while making a deal out of it. Phew! Good luck. Super Dad Maxalfie if you pull that one off.

Wonder how much each 'guest' on the JK show gets nowadays?

Never got a close enough shave from an electric Mendo maybe it was a crap one.

Same here.I spent around £25 on some clippers for my hair as I keep my hair less than grade one all the time and I have a thing like my hair clippers but it's for facial hair and you can set the length on it for how long you want yr stubble to be or set it to zero and go for the clean shaven look.
Has saved me loads of cash over the years.

I actually know somebody who went on Jezza. Well, I don't exactly know him but know somebody who knows him as it were. Went on for a DNA test - basically cos it's free and he wanted to know if he was the father and didn't want to pay to find out. He certainly didn't get any kinda fee though. Don't think they even paid travel or accomodation but still worked out cheaper than paying for a DNA test. Cost to dignity didn't matter much in this case - some folk don't seem to have enough to lose any ;)

Max: Basic dentstry is free on the dole. You do have to pay for cosmetic work if you happen to want it but if it's a chipped tooth or summat that should be free. And good luck with the meet <3

It certainly will be an overwhelming day all round I think but I'm sure we will get through it somehow.
Will let you know how it all went after its happened and I get back home.
 
hmm, something to look into, all the previous electric shavers I've used have had a horrible pull your hair out factor that I hated, I guess I just had cheaper shitter ones. Where did you get yours from max? online or the high street? as that sound a bargain for what it does.

I was all ways under the impression that you sort of sell your story to the JK show. No travel either? Why do these folk do it? I can't be for a the sudden boost in celebrity popularity unless society is far more broken than I ever could have imagined possible.

It is a life affirming show though, whenever I watch it I'm grateful that my life is so good and it all could have turned out a lot worse.

Max: you'd better! Well if you want to of course. Personal stuff is personal. But a wink or a nod would be nice <3
