Evening gibberers!! I just got back from NA, was good and lots of people were nice to me and were glad that I was there as it is usually people that have been clean for months and years that turn up not newcomers who are still in the process of getting clean. I mentioned Xamkou's death and that is affected me and that I'd finally cut down to one drug(phenazepam) which will be gone too once I get out of the rehab which the date of that is still to be determined. It brought back a lot of memories for some of the other people there of the beginning of their journeys to sobriety, all in all it was a good session and I got a lot out of it and got a lot out of other people getting a lot out of me just being there and sharing. It's really not as cultish as you may think, well the small meetings that I've been to so far haven't been at all. It's all about friendship and helping each other out. Was someones 5 year sobriety day too which was good :) Show's that it does work for some.

Just writing this has made me wonder whether it might have been better for my recovery thread in TDS, but it's the people here in EADD that are kind of like a family to me really so thought I'd share what happened tonight here, hope you's lot don't mind.

Also hope everyone else has been having fantastical nights themselves, drug fuelled or drug free. I'm really glad to be part of this forum and know that it can help me in the recovery stages just as it has tried to support me through the darker stages too.

Big hugs and <3 to everyone.

Thanks Kenny, I've got so much support around me now it's unbelievable, it's great though, not just in NA, but here and in friends and family and the other drugs rehabilitation centre place that I go to and have my key worker at, it's certainly going to go a long way to making it achievable. :)

why do people bang on about electric cars replacing petrol and diesel and saving polution and all that shit, itll never happen, the loss of profit would be massive. money, what a crazy load of shit

^ Probably cos the oil's running out hence having to invade deserts, pay insane prices at the pump (plus all the knock-on expense on everything else for the higher transport costs) and strip mine half of Canada for the dregs. Should've made the switch years ago but the oil companies are still trying to work out how they can take their cut of whatever is switched to. Electric is likely to be a bit tricky cos we don't have the infrastructure but at least car manufacturers are starting to get the hang of making halfway decent leccy cars. Hydrogen seems to be the other contender but I think folk are still a tad concerned about having a mini-Hindenburg with every lil fenderbender.

Blimey. That's probably the most I've ever said on the topic of cars. Think the excessive run of sobriety is getting to me 8(

Mornin', all :)

no? it was 3.42pm

Dammit! Was exactly what I would've guessed :!

Was there a prize? :(

Good morning Bluelight, hope you are all well & good.
Lovely bright day here, nice clear blue sky that I can see from my bed.

Bwahahahahahahhaa! How did we ever survive before the invention of clocks? Did you not notice the changing position of the sun and/or shadows? Or switch on the telly or PC and notice that Bargain Hunt was on instead of Homes Under the Hammer (or whatever the shitey morning/afternoon schedule is these days)? Or perhaps notice that it had been ages since your last cuppa tea/coffee/fluid and/or cig? :D

Clearly not. And I can quite believe it having done similar meself. The clock on me pooter used to play up a lot - skipping back and forwards by up to a few hours sometimes seemingly at random. Confused the shit outta me. Often resulted in me missing the shops, appoinments and stuff. Funny how we can come to rely so completely on the veracity of easily misleading technology above and beyond what our own senses may be telling us. "Blimey it's getting dark early - pitch black outside and it's only 3pm!" I distictly remember thinking that for the best part of a week once and being convinced the shops had changed their opening hours which is why they were always shut when I went out 8)

Yeah it looks nice outside , just opened the balcony door n it's a bit chilly though . I was twatted yesterday fukin ell .

Morning .

It did sound like you were having a good day from your posts I read.
@Shambles how is the arm and wrist today, getting any better?

Got today planned out. Have received an email of all the shops and companies that take advantage of folk by using them on workfare so I plan to email them telling them I am boycotting them until they stop using them.
Lots of us will be at it not just me and hassleing them on Twitter with #CorporateWelfareScroungers

@Shambles how is the arm and wrist today, getting any better?

Is more or less fine now thanks, Max. Ms Wicked thinks it's probably still best to see the doc to maybe get a splint ferra while to make sure it stays better and given I need to see the doc anyway I'll see if I can make an appoinment for tomorrow. Also a good reason to get out in the sunshine. Bit of vitamin D probably wouldn't go amiss and I'm terrible for not going out unless I need to. Seems like an all-round winner to me.

And as for the companies using what's bordering on enforced slave labour on that fukkin Workfare bullshit - give 'em hell. At the risk of sounding like the comments section on the Heil website - it's a bloody disgrace :!

Found it :D
That was nearly teh final straw i new it was here cos i used it to scoop some drugs on 2 teh scales . thank fuk 4 that i thought i was finally going mad like senile

The following companies and charities are involved in workfare:

Burger King – although they have only mentioned one of the five workfare schemes
