not for the plebs. people like this cunt that have been born into wealth really piss me off. what a money hungry cock sucker! its ok now we have figured we can make money from it...

If he was born into money why the fuck would he need to work?

I think the only thing you can conclude from the fact that he was a Microsoft executive is the fact he is probably a hard worker with an acute business acumen.

^Even if he does plan to capitalise on it there's no reason the average person cant access high quality seeds or clones and do it them selves. I'm sure they will try and make it like tobacco but the way things are now its possible to get decent genetics especially in the US.

I say good on him, there will always be plenty of people that are too lazy or impatient to grow their own and he will be there with the goods.

i bet the prick doesnt work as hard as all the plebs building his products getting paid minimum wage.
Jamen Shively said he plans to name the business after his great-grandfather, who supplied hemp tope to the Spanish Armada during the Spanish-American War,
pretty obvious.

and he knows the right people.
Some of us are destined to be Woodstock drinkers for life & even learn to enjoy it. Others can afford & enjoy a nice Remy. Just the way it is I am afraid.
yeh i realise this.

all he wants to do is make as much money as possible. good on him hope he fucks everyone that gets in his way.

I really hope I can pick up tomorrow. My grinder has been scraped & I smoked the last of my bludged stash on Sunday. I really want a nice firecracker on Sunday.

^ been there for days now almost a week. Best of luck to you bro as i hope i can also do the same....latest shit i had awhile ago, 2 cones had my eyes closed shut and me falling asleep, really light gear but chops out well that hydro, oh how i want more!

it was dry around here the past month or so apart from the odd expensive at shit hydro oz's floating around. everything is back in order now. first time i've bought any this year and still one of the usual buds, 2 hit shit. i just don't like what the dry vaccing along the way does in respect of compacting the buds.

I know that. I ripped 3 hotties on Saturday night & felt 14 again 8(. Well fingers crossed for the both of us then & I will be eating a firecracker for breakfast on Sunday.

Every year this thread does the same thing...

It IS that time of year of guys. Get into different circles as you are obviously in the wrong ones. Not trying to have a go at anyone but get out and meet lots of new people. Even if you don't find product your life will be all the better for it :)

Heaps dude. I was eating it too but Hashish goes straight through me unfortunately.

It was so good to get home last night to actually get stoned from some Aussie weed. The Dutch weed is beautiful and smells and tastes amazing but the potency just isn't there in my opinion.

Really? This is a ballzy statement to say the least....

Studied abroad in Amsterdam and have never come across some of the shit I did there. Lived in Cali for years and say it was a close second to Amsterdam. Lived in NYC for most of my life and we get some pretty good strains here as well. Also of had the pleasure of visiting you lovely country and smoking some very good awesome quality weed but nothing on the level of the dutch mate. Would you be willing to take the pepsi challenge?? Not trying to measure anyone's cock here just think you must of had some residual tricomb effects from the weed in Amsterdam....

Cheers....

I am what you call an isolationist when it comes to drugs. I would not even know how to get a new connect down here strange as it seems. I always had good connections in Sydney but gave 95% of them up when I was gambling. New city, new start, one hook up.

Sure thing mate. How are you going to step up though?

I have used Cannabis for over 20 years and ALL of my mates are hanging for some Aussie Connoisseur weed when they come home. As I have said it looks, smells and tastes amazing but doesn't even come close to even being 50% as potent as the best Aussie connoisseur weed grown by our experts.

I am not talking about commercial or outdoor weed but the very strains that just won this Cup and the ones that should have won but didn't buy enough passes that are germing right now as we speak. If you had lived here for many years then you would know what I am talking about.

As with everything it is all about who you know. What country are you from? You don't have your location filled in.

Yeah no doubt. I hope that he doesn't. I especially hope that growing doesn't become even more heavily punished than it already is to protect the income of that kind of people (like with tobacco). At the moment though there is a heap of awesome genetics available over there so that most people in the medical states can easily and legally grow some top quality.

I bet he didn't waste a moment in school causing a scene or skipping class to get fucked on drugs. I bet he doesn't get paid to take a sick day or gets holiday pay. I bet he doesn't turn to his boss and complain that he worked through his lunch break and is still in the office 3-4 hours after the "worker" have knocked off. There are two types of people in this world, those who do and those who complain.

I agree with Verybuffed, Australia has some primo weed by world standards. Even our shit weed is streets ahead of Mexican dirt weed or soap bar from Europe. I could only dream about an Iron Chef-style smoke off between the winners of Mardi Grass and the Cannabis Cup. ;)

I have been tossing up between a trip back to the Dam or catching up with mates in the States and now that a friend has just settled in Seattle I think it has made the call easier for me. A week skiing in Colorado squeezed around a West coast road trip sound more inviting than a week stumbling around the cobbled streets of Europe again. Although there is always the following year for that.....

The Amsterdam product is still miles ahead of outdoor weed IMO and IME. I don't have much experience with the indoor that goes around up there though yet. I'll report back on that in May.

Everyone has made the same choice that you just made Busty and that is why High Times didn't put any money in to the Harvest Festival this year. Within 10 minutes of being inside the Expo everyone was saying "Where is the rest?", "Is this all there is?". You could definitely tell that it was the last ever High Times Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam. That is why I went.

The bad news is that the US are having issues now as the "Legalisation" in Colorado and Washington is illegal under Federal Law.

I wasn't planning on going to the Cup, I was just keen so smoke a fat one on the slopes and in a hot tub in my chalet at the end of the day. Not to mention dessert driving and a hotted up Camero. Most of my mates expect the US Feds to probably still target large commercial grows while leaving the public to grow their own and smoke in the privacy of their own home. Either way the supply of DIY grow kits for the public would be impossible to police so I doubt there will be much of a shortage. Sourcing premium seeds will be the key but I doubt the US postal service would track that so easily.

All of the new seed banks are located in the States now. I got all of their promo T-Shirts, coffee mugs, grinders, lighters etc.

he was no doubt in a private school getting a decent education.
I bet he doesn't get paid to take a sick day or gets holiday pay.
he probably makes more in an hour than most do in a day
I bet he doesn't turn to his boss and complain that he worked through his lunch break and is still in the office 3-4 hours after the "worker" have knocked off.
he is the boss, whats he going to sack himself over his corporate lunch. he works when he wants to work. his reward for work is ludicrously high in comparison to plebs. your getting a decent reward your going to work a lot harder, your getting minimum wage your not going to work too hard...

there are two types of people in this world those that have shit handed to them (decent education, inheritance) and those that work their lives away just to get by.

As an executive he has to answer to countless upper management not to mention the thousands of shareholders who demand he does his job. His "workers" at microsoft are mostly compute geeks tapping away creating programme all day.... hardly risking life and limb in a coal mine.

I know plenty of successful business men who started in poor blue collar suburbs and reached the top through hard work and persistence. More often than not it is their humble beginnings that drives them to get up every morning and make a better life for their family than they had growing up. It is loser talk to blame everyone else for your problems, particularly in a country like Australia.

"loser talk" or maybe just class consciousness.
There is a necessity for the existence of everyone from your "humble" blue collar worker, and the elite will always be a minority - not everybody can be managers and executives.
The class structure in australia has effectively been turned upside-down in recent years, but not in the sense that people with privileged beginnings have had any threat to their social position.
Nobody is complaining about that or the way things are - just that people who feel the need to assert their socioeconomic superiority are a little amusing to the average Joe.

Nice to see someone is promoting the acceptance of cannabis in a preppy way, but this guy clearly feels safe in doing so in spite of the precarious nature of American "legalization".
Compare him to Tommy Chong - a cat who got targeted and eventually locked up for being an entertainer representing the 'drug culture' (with a sideline in glass bongs).

This fellow with his impeccable breeding will be unlikely to face a similar fate. He might be a useful soldier in the war for acceptability of cannabis in our culture, but he still comes off as an Old Money wanker whitey.

Wonder what his family's history is like in terms of slavery?
