Tried ~300mg of CWE codeine yesterday due to excruciating pain left over from the dentist's drill and had the worst experience ever on it. This is the first time I used any opiates for about 2 months. My breathing became incredibly shallow (had to force myself to get air in, like my body decided to forget how to ventilate itself), coupled with intense nausea, but worst of all was my heart-beat. I checked it and it was completely erratic and random; skipped beats, stuttering, strong vs. soft beats. I got really worried. Why would codeine be giving me tachycardia??! It was more like listening to dubstep than a heart-beat!
Could this be due to the fact that I've been on an intense low-calorie diet for the past couple of weeks so got thrown around by the drug more than usual? In the past I have taken CWE codeine *countless* times, and in some quite high doses, but have never had a negative experience with it, until now...
