i dunno how old it is but its definately older, i guess it was what gave them thier big break in the US? anyways shits pretty entertaining

got my sister to give me her netflix info so i was watching that last night, did some excercising, not sure if it was the excersises or the exhuastion but i got some great sleep from ~12:30 - 8:00 now i just need to put up a curtain or a blanket so i can keep this fuckin sun out n ida been able to sleep longer

I got to leave work at 12 today to go home and chillax before the storm this afternoon. I know, it's not easy being as fucking awesome and fabulous as me. I'm interested to see what this storm is actually going to be like, every fucking state is in complete lock down and has issued states of emergency. Pretty wild shit, imo. On the upside, I'm going to Cali next week. I will definitely be hitting up San Fran for a bit while I'm out there. I'm excited.

There's got to be some of you people around...it's not like many of you can actually hold jobs or anything.
 
I'm right there with you PFF, I got out of work at 12 today because the state shut down the highways for 1pm. I kind of like storms. I mean it's gonna suck when I inevitably lose power for several days in a row, but I can't help but enjoy a good disaster, it's always exciting. Man shit's gonna get so fucked up. It shouldn't be too horrible near me because I'm about a half hour north of the coast, but the whole coastline is gonna get F'ed in the A and sort of just go away. I expect many trees down around me but most of the rain is supposed to be to the west more, and I'm too high of an elevation to worry about flooding.
 
That's what Ive been hearing about all the state roads. I was worried about my road a little bit because there is a state forest with lots of trees lining my road. I was going to be uber pissed if I stayed at work and then found out that roads were either closed or impassable on my way home. I said 'peace out" as soon as I could.

I definitely love a good storm too. We pulled in a bunch of wood for the fireplace (not that we will need it, it's going to be near 60 all week) and I brought my badass expensive flashlight that I have for work home. Everything that needs a charge is on a charger now, so I think we will be good to go. I don't like losing power though, it gives me anxiety to not be able to flush the toilet, take a shower, or plug in my flat iron or blow dryer lol
 
Got out at 1130 here. Not even sure why tbh. I mean it's raining and windy but so far nothing too crazy. When the vp came and told me to leave in ten minutes I didn't get the urgency but I'll take it.
 
I think it comes down to the fact that they got caught with their pants down and their dicks out last year at this time with the horrible snowstorm we got. This year every official authority is taking the storm way over the top so that people can't say they weren't properly warned.
 
Yeah it wasn't bad at all by me either when I got out, but I think they did just because of the roads. And Idk about NH but I think around here it's only the limited access highways that are closing. I live on a state route so if it was all the state roads I'd be fucked, heh. I just wish I had a truck though, I don't like the idea that I won't be able to go troop around this year. My low little 2 seater won't do too well in this shit, and I don't want to have to wait for them to clear the roads for me. I also only have 6 bullets. Lame.
 
yeah, they fucked up here not long ago as well. since then they make every storm seem damn-near apocalyptic. i was one of the lucky millions that lost power back in june for ten freaking days and there was very little warning for that.

the only upside is that it isn't 90+ degrees outside so when we inevitably lose power it won't be too unbearable.

We got some pussy storm named Sandy going on. It's a weakass sort of hurricane. Basically everyone is just making a big deal out if nothing. In MA the governor shut down schools and government jobs for "non essential personnel" and a few of us got out of work early because of it too.

It's pretty weak but, I guess it did sink one of those old ass tall ships in like the carolinas or somewhere. I guess everyone abandoned ship and they're still missing a couple people that got washed over.
 
yeah, i dont really get the freak out...it's a category 1. IMO, NY/New England (where most of the mainstream media is from) always make a big deal out of nothing because they have to stay relevant.


My rant of the day...last week I moved heaven and earth at 930 at night to cover for my boss cause she was sick. I ended up working the next day 8-1130, then leaving and coming back 3-930 because the other girl could only work in the middle of the day. Really inconvenient and lame, but I did it because she was sick.

On Saturday, I gave her a heads up that I wanted to take a day this week because I was feeling run down and she gave me attitude because we have "so much to do." She then proceeded to list 3 things that I never actually even am in charge of doing and literally could be done in a combined time of 3 hours. She also got mad at me when I had to have someone else cover my shift a few months ago when I had strep throat.

But she takes a day off/half day like every week or two week.

Fucking hypocrite.

it sounds like you might wanna consider if its worth all the hassle, i mean you want a job that has your back, particularly when your willing to have thiers

a few job troubles here too, been wanting a better job for awhile, but as of this last week i feel torn between wanting to just change everything up, i feel like alot has changed for me this past week n im thinking changing my job might help at giving me a fresh start or at the very least something different, and just sticking with something that is decent and familiar, having said that the GM and the job in general has been fairly good to me, obviously i feel like i work hard for them but i feel like i could make more money elsewhere. i am typically a loyal person and as long as things are ok ill be there, but with the way things have been recently i feel like i might wanna try for something better
 
Yeah I work retail. I'm not actively looking for another job, but yeah, I wouldn't be opposed. The pay is decent where I am now and the benefits are pretty good too, but we have mandatory OT but we are salary so the hourly that shows up on my paycheck is really like $2 higher an hour than is true. We are also really unstaffed supervisor-wise (or rather we have the right number of supervisors, but their availability sucks balls). And my boss is just real bipolar I guess. Sometimes she's real cool and I will supposed to be in at 1230 and she'll text me that I can come in at 2, or on Fridays/Sat when I work until 5, she'll let me go at 330. Then other times she's crazy. Idk, I'm just venting cause it's been a long day and I'm stressed out by life.

I get what you mean though HoL. I'm very loyal too and I would feel bad leaving them in a jam since like I said, the other supervisors have shitty availability. But at the same time, it's business and you know, the store and the people will go on without me.

Where im at is getting hit by it now. We still have power most other people i know dont though.

And it is fuckimg up some places pretty good my friends tree fell in his yardd, smashing his neighbors shed and going into her roof lol

this is freaking lame.

16 dead (that they know of so far), some major-ass flooding all over new england, around 7 million without power and here we've gone from wind and rain advisory to blizzard advisory. there's snow and ice fucking everywhere and the pattern is gonna repeat itself for the next day or two. this is the strangest storm i've ever experienced.

This was a weird storm. The wind was wild and the rain sounded like it was going to pound through my roof. The dog wanted no part of going outside....I made her though cause I'm a bitch like that.



On another note, does anyone know how to turn off the auto finish/correct on a Samsung galaxy 3?
