I was caught with 1-2g of K. After 12 years of very frequent use first time I've been stopped or even close to caught. IT was soooooo ridiculously unlucky what happened/how I was caught!

Anyways got a caution after an night in the cells ( was arrested for Class A, I convinced them it was Ket and they let me go after interview).
my question is what would happen to me if I was caught again before my caution expires; what is the likely penalty? Probably between 1g and 12.5g which is a qtr and the most I would buy (always for myself)

Was such a f waste of everyone's time and their money!

If you're nabbed again before your caution expires, in the worst case scenario you'll be loaded on a cart with other bad boys, taken to Tyburn and there hung, drawn and quartered in front of a cheering mob. However, if your record isn't too bad, or your mum has a private 'word' with the judge, transportation is a more likely outcome. Best if you can leave the ket behind and stick with the gin from now on.

When I was let off with a caution for about a gram of cannabis resin (then class B) in what must have been '99, I was told that if I got arrested for anything else (even not drug-related; the copper mentioned shoplifting, though I was more into counterfeiting at the time -- might hafta see about starting that little racket up again sometime, just for old times' sake) in the next 3 years, it could be used against me. I believe it's since changed to 5 years.

^^

I like your thinking badandwicked ;)

Just being arrested for drugs - regardless of whether you were charged - is enough to ban you from the USA for life. They don't have any "rehabilitation of offenders act" so if you fancied seeing the great redwoods one day, you'll have to stick to a DVD.

Incidentally the police won't see it as a waste of money - to them it's a good days work. Nice easy work, no running after burglars and being paid 36 grand and retiring at 50 on two-thirds final salary index-linked for it. Cushty!

Not sure what you mean jan - you arn't going to get in legally again - but you can lie on the visa waiver form if you fancy chancing your arm. Worst that will happen is being thrown in a US jail for a few days, then sent back making sure you're tagged on all their systems for next time.

You could try applying for a visa but I wouldn't hold your breath.

one drug arrest in 12years is unlucky? maybe dont walk around with drugs in your pocket

nothing more significant than a night in cells will happen if youre caught again with a small amount. fine/community order at worst

guess not getting into america is the silver lining though

Ismene, of course you know what jancrow means, you yourself spelled it out, don't tell them and they almost certainly won't find out.

You are open to trouble if they do find out, but I don't think jancrow was saying any different. It is a definite risk, especially if you've actually been cautioned, which will be on your record.

When in solution k is usually at the ratio of 50mg per ml making 1 litre 50g, thus making a quarter litre 12.5g

Just beaten to it!

money talks....a mate of mine was busted in jersey with 4oz of hash not only did he get off with a fine (in jersey you could get years for that - toughest drug laws in europe, they will bust you for roaches or a bit of resin in the ash in an ashtray) he spent 9 months in the states no problem with a visa
