Caught with Class C; Ketamine. What's next?

I was wondering. Say I applied for a job that needs a CRB check... Would it say:

"possession - class C, caution"

Or would it state the drug?

If it doesn't say the drug then if asked then I guess I could make it something less 'out-there' such as a sleeping pill thing or something...
 
Posession of the drug and it's name I believe. Not certain tho - I assume it's the same as what was on your charge sheet? That would have the drugs name on it. You could always ask for a copy of your CRB and check.

You arn't applying for a job in the UK "american travel visa office" are you?

When police broke into my home last year, cos of noise/music complaints from my neighbour, they found a small bag of ketamine, promptly arrested me, and made me spend a night in a cell for "possession of narcotics, suspected cocaine". When 20 hours later it turned out not to be cocaine (but ket, which is unscheduled here in the netherlands), I could go home. I was suitably furious.
 
True, shouldn't have attracted unwanted attention, and shouldn't have left baggies with white powder in semi-open view.
 
Out of interest how do most people get caught with possessing stuff? Is it mostly a London problem with stop and searches? I go out up in Sheffield, Leeds Manchester etc... and I've never been searched once.
 
Sorry for being a little harsh there Lurching. We're having noisy neighbour issues at the moment so it kinda hit a nerve! Nowt worse than having to get up for work at 6:30AM when the cunts downstairs didn't shut the fuck up until half 4.
 
caution's for possession should not have the drug named or class named on them as it is not recorded with the offence. i got a caution for ketamine possession and then got my CRB back saying possession class A, so I complained and they wrote back saying they had changed it to possession class not specified as it had not been recorded... dicks just put class a as an assumption.
 
Well I've only gone and managed it again. This is like 2.5 years later. I had a massive panic attack and basically collapsed in a train station and they took me to A+E said i was screaming or summat. No idea tbh. Think my nose was blocked and I wasn't breathing properly. Something was going on in my head that's for sure. I don't "k-hole" far too much tolerance for that.

Probably around 3g of K and a handful of benzos (which I take to sleep after/calm down in case of any panic sparingly; though apparently not in this case!). It was british transport police and they were alright with me but they wouldn't "let me go". They sorted out street bail for me. They said they have to get the stuff tested as they can't take my word for it. I asked if I could have bail date before 10th june as I might be going abroad (to get a fucking break from the shit and do some work)... And they said it had to be at least 4 weeks.

I could have had them take me to the police station and keep me overnight and goto court in the morning but I didn't really like the idea of 14+ hours in a cell lol

Regarding the USA thing mentioned back in this thread last time, I actually have Canadian citizenship also so THINK I can get in without a visa waiver/having to lie. I haven't been to the states since about 2010

I am seeing a shrink and have a "key worker" as I am/was on the road to recovery so can't imagine they'll go too hard on me. Just a pain in my backside as I don't really want another black mark on the old criminal record.

So been bailed to go to some nick not ridic far from me but pain in the backside as I was hoping to get away from the country.

I don't really need a lawyer do I? What do you think will happen? Obviously I know ket is class B now if that changes anything... Cheers!
 
You might get away with a caution - i managed to get 2 out of them but they were years apart - 1997 2 grams of skunk (first criminal offense) then in 2006 i got arrested with 4 bags of gear - on that occasion they bailed me while the cps considered a prosecution - i was still working as a registered nurse at the time, so when i answered bail they offered me another caution knowing that there was no need to punish me further with my career on the line - of course thats exactly how it played out - they were obliged to refer me to a local dsp who, in turn were obliged to inform my employer. I resigned from my job the following day, was reported to the NMC who finally struck me off in 2008 following an 18 month investigation. Id managed to get clean in the meantime as well, and didnt fully relapse untill 2012

Are you expecting sympathy? No offence but you broke the law n were caught once. These are the consequences.

....thats interesting about not recording the class for a caution, I was cautioned a couple of years ago as i had a bag of gear - how would you find out whats been recorded? anyone know?

I agree, you reckless lawbreaker will have to face the consequences for not respecting the law. There's no advice for deliquent offenders like you here and CERTAINLY no sympathy.
