What are you drinking? - "Someone is bringing you ice?"

If your drinking bottles in a pub you need a slap Spade

Unless its a beer that was brewed locally. And even then your basically drinking crap that isnt fresh and showing yourself up to be a noob.
Just drink the local stuff in a pub , not bottled shit

Can you imagine going to a pub in Dortmund and asking for a Weihenstephane? they would slap you silly and laugh you out of town
And then hit you on the head with a bottle of Krombacher

^^ Oh shut up you twat, I drink what I like the taste of and beer in a can is vile and most pubs pour shit pints. Bottled beer is the winner!

Spade I thought you were more of a rum and coke guy though?
Chairmans Reserve is prime, hunt some down if your near a waitrose

I drink beer more than I drink anything else but it's not my favourite drink. I prefer red wine, cider and rum over beer but beer is the one I drink more often.

I'm currently drinking some really rank Co-op own brand fruit juice. They do 3 for £3 but I usually just get the Orange, decided to mix it up and whatever this yellow stuff is I'm drinking is absolute pish. Very bitter and nasty tasting. I noticed the third one I bought, raspberry and cranberry contains no vitamins yet all the other ones do. How is it possible for supposed fresh fruit juice to contain NONE of your daily vitamin intake?

Commerical juice is a con, even the tropicana non conentrate crap, reason being EU law says it has to be pasturised, hence killing everything in it that is good for you, its basically a shortcut to diabetes.

Save your money and get a good green powder to mix with water, works out to 50 p to £1 a day if you buy it online
I buy a tub of the shit for £30 and it lasts me a month.

Bottled beer is a con, commercial juice is a con...anything else?

You still get vitamins from Tropicana non concentrate according to the carton. What kind of green powder?

Just looked at their website, I'm not paying £30 for some 'Hawaiian blue-green algae powder'. I don't even know what that is.

Well what do you think algae is?
why are you always told as a kid to have cod liver oil?
where do you think cod gets its food from and hence stored in its liver

cod eats algae, human eats cod oil to get vitamins

all that has happened now in the modern world is we are cutting out the cod

Maybe if you are only used to shitty uk brewed beers and not usa microbrews

http://www.esquire.com/blogs/food-for-men/canned-vs-bottled-beer-debate-6655494

You people need to move with the times, even sierra nevada( probably the best breweers on earth) started to can beers, which by the way tasted better in blind tests compared to their bottled pale ale.

You're in cloud cookoo land.

I know my beers

Put decent beer in a can and I'll drink the fucker

point me in the direction of an establishment in a 10mile radius from me that puts decent beer in a can and I'll even make the effort to go buy the fucker.

You have no clue about what's available and what isn't. you're living in a fantasy land

[edit]
and to clarify, once again since you aren't listening. Decent beer in the UK generally doesn't get put in a can, it gets put in a bottle, unless it's put on draught, and that's a whole different scenario

Tell me where I can buy decent beer in a can locally please

and more to the point ... your taste in beer is APPALLING. SHOCKING in fact. That Orangeboome shite you said was better than Duvell doesn't even come close frankly. Your tastebuds must be shot.

I bow to your knowledge I guess, but most brewers who know their ass from their elbow would disagree, as i do as well

http://www.fastcompany.com/1327963/ditch-bottle-microbreweries-say-can-do

try doing a google search on canned hobgoblin v bottle hobgoblin and see what comes up

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdLpzGtDmV4 here is a hint

BTW thats not me in the clip lol

lol and if you think i have bad taste in beer ask bogman

I have forgotten more about beer than you would ever remember :)

FACT remains that many of the shepard neame ales as well as hobgoblin are better now in cans than bottles, same for stuff like ipa punk from scotland and all the brewdog stuff which is now better in cans , proven by blind tastings !!!
Dont get me started on the usa microbrews who all love to can stuff now.

The sad fact now is that people wont admit that microbrews in the usa piss all over anything europe has to offer , and thus have some sort of anti canned bias.

its like the old bias against new school wines that existed a while back.

you still aren't getting it. I like hobgoblin. I very occasionally buy it. But guess what? I've only ever seen it available in bottles, never in cans

And re Bogman. He must have great taste in beer, cause last week or the week before he posted in this thread and told me *I* had great taste in beer =D

So, in summary again ... point me in the direction of great beer I can buy in cans please. I'll be all over it like white on rice

<3

Point me in the direction of good canned beer and I still won't drink it. I like beer from a bottle, it tastes better to me. There's something just not right about drinking beer out a can, the can taints it.

Do you realise how much of a pretentious twat you sound? You're taking this whole thing far too seriously, it's just beer, it tastes OK at the best of times. There's no bias against canned beers other than the fact we think they taste shite and I doubt many of us have drank american micro brewed beers, not something I've seen much of.

Beer for me tastes godly!! I love beer. Canned beer is rank, I agree, but it's good to relax cheeply after a hard week on the dole. The prices of some good quality bottled beers(ales, Belgian beers) it's a piss take even in Europe, for me those are a rare treat, I do greatly enjoy them when I do buy them though.

Calm down mate, if anything the pretension would be on the part of those who would refuse to entertain the thought that a canned beer could in fact taste better. Obviously depends on the beer , some do in fact taste industrial from cans , but a lot taste better from my personal experience

Maybe its just my pallette who knows, I do prefer coke from a can as opposed to those "classic" bottles they sell at double the mark up. something ridiculous like 4 quid for 6 bottles.

Its like the fancy single malts with the corks and presentation boxes, just another way to jack up the price, this kind of elitism has existed in wine as well where its now finally accepted that screwcaps are as good as corks

Back on topic just having a plain old coffee now, no sugar just almond milk
