What are you drinking? - "Someone is bringing you ice?"

I think they are different SHM, I was looking at it on their website the other day and they had Wyld Wood and the premium organic stuff.

i have been drinking and going out to clubs alot lately ... And now all of a sudden i like chart music ....

This is a good experiment i think .. Im gonna see where this goes ....
Tesco dry cider was great back in the day

on me 7th pint of Ribena today...minging after staying up drinking till 2 last night, then getting up for work at 5.45.... :(

thatsa not bad sht Bumboclaad...i quite like the lemon barley, the original one anyway, not the Fruit and barley or whatever they call it, the other one...anyway lemon barley is nice, oldskooooooooooooooooool.

Must be a lot of sugar in Ribena Mailmonkey. Not sure it's that packed with vitamins either, is it?

My favourite was always Orange & Apricot but they changed it to just Orange years ago.

There is a lot of sugar in it, and no, i doubt there's much in the way of goodness in it, apart from vit C....

whats your worry about sugar Spade?

Diabetes.

The figures for diabetes sufferers are about to soar. Not surprising when you look at the crap diet offered to us by supermarkets. The cheapest thing to buy for about two years now has been half price Roses etc.

Ticking time bomb.

Hmmmmm, I've never thought of that. lol. or not lol.

i always assume that as I use a lot of calories I "burn off" the sugar...

i understand now this is probably highly deluded.

Does sugar build up in the body or something? How does it cause diabetes?

Overworks the pancreas I believe (I could be wrong) leading, eventually, to pancreatic failure and all sorts of nice things. Like losing toes, feet etc.

Being active will obviously help Mailmonkey but it's still worth keeping an eye on the sugar intake. All that booze (cider is full of it) and Ribena has a lot on it. I get far too much too, booze, fizzy drinks, chocolate. :\

Watching out for sugar is a must.
Thankfully Europe has finally caught up with most of the world and you can buy stevia here now.
Fantastic alternative to sugar for tea and coffee, and way better than artificial sweeteners which I wouldnt touch with a bargepole.

Yeah I won't let any of these "toothkind" ribenas in the house, and check everything for aspartamines etc....How would I know if I was eating too much sugar?

Feeling really thirsty in the evenings
Pissing middle of the night too much
itchy hands and ankles
sharp pain in fingertip/nails area
Foreskin infections if uncut (urgh)

All signs that diabetes is on its way , unless you control the sugar.

White bread, too many baked potatoes/chips, non wholeheat pasta/noodles more than a couple of times a week would all be bad things

Stevia is fantastic, just make sure not to get the brands that contain sneaky artificial sweeteners

A lot iS common sense in retrospect, I could never figure why i was so wiped out by midday and tired. So went to GP
Turned out the heaps of coffee mate I was using in my drinks was causing bad blood sugar levels, as the crap is basically vegtable fat and glucose powder. The Gallons of cider I was drinking didnt help of course

Knocked that crap on the head and the levels lowered within a few weeks.

The thirst and pissing are the big ones, plus abnormal tiredness.

But you can be type 2 without any of these symptoms. I am. The line they draw is two consecutive blood tests with a blood sugar level above 7. I think it's a bit arbitrary. I got two 7.2's. Quick change of diet, fruit not chocolate, and I'm 6.7.

Type 1 is the real bad one. In type 2 you've fucked your body with bad diet so you're insulin supply is not working efficiently. With type 1 you have no insulin at all, hence the inject or die. My mate got type 1 a year ago. Hes 48. That's uncommon but becoming more common, to be type 1 that late.
