What are you drinking? - "Someone is bringing you ice?"

Feeling really thirsty in the evenings
Pissing middle of the night too much
itchy hands and ankles
sharp pain in fingertip/nails area
Foreskin infections if uncut (urgh)

None of those symtoms, not a single one. But I'm gonna look into this, i canj't beleive I've always thought of sugar as pretty harmless as long as you were burning the energy and you clean your teeth regular.

MM: I suggest going to your docs and asking for a glucose blood sugar test. it's mainly a blood test, after you've fasted for 12 hours before. it should give you a decent indication whether your drinking habits are affecting your blood sugar levels. mine was once 6.9, which is borderline diabetic ... but that was when I was a fatty (still am occasionally)... it's easy to change with diet modifications

I wouldn't ever consider buying a 'diluting jiuce' (that's 'squash' to real folks) that's not the 'no added sugar' variant. unfortunately that means there's aspartame and phenylalanine to consider.

If I buy pop, I never ever ever buy anything other than diet fizzy shit either .. I can't handle the syrupy full sugar shit, it's horrendous. Diet Dr Pooper's where it's at for me

The calorie intake from drinking sweetened drinks is fucking massive, and lots of people don't even consider just how many calories yer average can of coke holds

Tonight it's Weston's vintage and 2 bottles of this tonight (reduced at my local asda)

Why urgh?!

lol, today i've had 4 coffees (2 sugars in each), 6 pints ribena, a pint of coca cola, a pint of orange juice, and I've got two bottles of westons i'm gonna start on now. And I've eaten a chocolate eclair. And a load of Minstrels. And some honey on toast.

Is this seriously bad?

Is it worse than the 30+ units of alcohol and load of meph I did last night?

Marmalade its cos when a bloke pisses middle night and just climbs back into bed, if his urine is high in sugar , that will start to take on a life of its own under his foreskin, unless he washes his knob at 3am before going back to bed. Seems wiping with a bit of tissue hs no effect, the area under the skin must be clear of ANY urine or remnants.

Within a day or so you have a really nasty infection/rash which is usually wiped out by using trimovate cream for 7 days.
For religious reasons I would never consider getting circumcised, but I always wash me knob now after a piss, even if its 3am and I am still blind drunk :)

I learnt the hard way.

edit - thought you meant urgh as in why the infection

*Hits head with hammer*

Seriously, it was major pain, and motivation enough to wipe refined sugar out of my diet Totally !!

Mailmonkey the booze isnt that bad, many people probably do 30 units a night at weekends, I know I used to. As long as its not all Sugary Cider or non diet soft drinks as mixers.

That Sugar intake for the rest of the day is shocking though, probably best to cut down, but taper it off as quitting sugar cold turkey wouldnt be pleasant I should imagine, lol

I'm with a guy who wipes his little man after he has a wee, no matter what the circumstances too. He did this before I even met him, so I can't even claim credit. He uses baby wipes tho, rather than having a full on wash

Fucking hell mate calm down on the sugar. Seriously though how can you not have known sugar was bad for you and caused diabetes?

Wahay, love a bit of Duvel. Got a 1.5ltr bottle of it from Waitrose for me 24th last year, never seen them anywhere else, usually just get the dinky ones.

Am drinking chai of my own recipe, was bored doing the washing up so whacked some Assam, cinnamon, chili, and some chocolate flavoured herbal tea into a pan with some milk and vanilla essence, job's a fuckin good un :D

Does he carry a little pack of baby wipes round? If a bloke next to me at a urinal got baby wipes out and started polishing his helmet I'd assume I was about to get lezzed up or something. :)

Yes, you're right Marmz, that's all I was drinking last night, and always really :D....I usually drink about 30-40 units a week, very rare I get on it like last night....

always uses cubicles. ALWAYS

and now I just got called a 'fanny' for telling people he walks around with babywipes (which I didn't!) ... he uses em in the house (sometimes apparently ... )

'kin 'ell .. that's the last time I talk about his little man on the interwebs ... the flack isn't worth it

oh, and it's not little, it's HUGE! (apparently) 8) :sus:

1.5lt bottles of Duvel?! ... that's worth stopping off for, deffo. I've never seen Duvel in anything other than a 330ml bottle before either. It take it you're on about the Waitrose on near Kirk Ella/Willerby? I pass there a few times a year and normally stop off for petrol around there so I'll check it out. We don't have a Waitrose round my way, it would be too damaging to their image I think ;p

I'm going to Bruges again soon on a baccy run for my dad. That's where I tasted Duvel for the first time and learned that drinking lager/beer from a bottle wasn't always the best way to do it. It's only 3euros a glass over there (in a pub) which is pretty sterling considering the price it is per bottle in a supermarket here.

York branch o' Waitrose, am a dirty Northerner ;) Though imagine it'd be the same anywhere, was defo worth it, wasn't that expensive if I recall either so worth a look :D Duvel is probably the only beer I drink from a glass as opposed to bottle because I am that classy. First had it meself in a studenty type pub in York when I was about 16, they had Kwak too which was both hilariously named AND tasty. Not seen that ont shelves in a while though.

Duvel always tasted like special brew to me, albeit a flashier version.
Orangeboom 8.5% would piss all over Duvel in a blind taste test I bet.

Currently drinking Tyskie :)

ahh, i thought it wouldve been thee Hull branch. I know York too a bit .. Been there for management training and to work a bit on Coney Street. I was last in York to have an interview with a Vicar, as it 'appens!

York is thee home of Vikings so it gets a major +++plus from me anyways

Really? Okay. Kinda glad we got past this essential beer chat early, because I can now totally ignore all your beer recommendations from now onwards =D

[edit]
Duvell in NO WAY resembles Orangeboom or any other of the majors higher strength generics imo. They're totally different entities altogether. That orangeboom shite I wouldn't even consider buying. Hint: bottles over cans any day of the week <3

What do you think a fucking keg is?
its metallic

Beer in bottles vs cans is the biggest fraud ever. wake up
Its like people who like those 10 "packets" of oatmeal for £4 when they can buy a kilo of the shit for £2

I don't like draft beer either. I drink bottles even in the pub. It tastes better, just face it.

shush, I buy oatmeal by the kilo. I am that person. I'm not stupid. But you're very wrong about beer

to clarify. it's not the can that matters .. it's the choice that the brewry makes. most decent beers are packaged by bottle (by the choice of the brewery), not can. that's the difference

and most of the high strength beers like the Orangeboom one, are marketed to different people and come in a can. I have no clue why that is, but regardless, it is SO!

To clarify again: a beer could come in a fucking plastic carton for all i care, I'd like it if it were decent ... but generally decent beers come in a bottle .. lots of not so decent beers also come in a bottle. I've never drunk a decent beer from a can however ... altho, I assume snolly's duvel comes in a plastic bottle and if so ... I'll love it just as much from said plastic bottle.
