Anyone else find that some times if the buds are of extremely high quality it fucks up your grinder? Mine was stuck for months with so much kief in it. A good trick I learned is you can put it in the freezer then whack it against the side of something and itll open

I only smoke bongs and like my mull really fine so it pulls through easy. Iv always mulled with scissors but recently have been looking into a grinder probs with a kier catcher. I'm just after feedback or suggestions cause iv never actually used one. Anyone out there use them?

They're very worthwhile, I've never had one but a mate of mine did. The convenience of chopping up in seconds with no effort is awesome. Especially when you're really high late in the night with mates, and chopping up feels like such a big task.

@ vb i bought one of those mullamatics when i was younger and it didnt do shit. put the head in and it just spins around...the one iv got would be better for drying than grinding lol...iv still got it somewhere i was pissed it didnt work and went back to the standard scissors. i also have a coffee bean grinder / mushroom grinder but that only comes out for parties or in the season of the earthly fungus.

its been dry as a nuns cunt around here lately, might have to drop into nimbin on the way back from parky after the weekend..

That is a different one. You need the one with millimetre clearances between the screens and the grinder.

I have unusual question in regards to cannabis team. I don't know if this has ever been asked in this thread or if other people have spoken about it. But I can't ever re-call hearing something about this so I'll just try my luck here.

I've always noticed that when smoking weed with friends, noises seem louder. For example people have a tendancy to think that everyone is being too loud and we should keep it down out of worrying we might wake something up like parents or whoever is at a house at the time. In the past I've always just put that off to people (including myself) worried we might get caught from peoples parents and out of respect to whoever is at the house. But lately I've realised it seems to be more then that, when I watch t.v at night time and I've been smoking weed I turn my t.v down to 8-10 out of 100 and can hear the t.v clearly. But during the day when I switch the t.v on at this volume I can barely make a word out. I've thought about asking this question sooner but I thought maybe it's all in my head so lately when I've been smoking I've been paying more attention.

And I'm totally right, my t.v is on at the moment on 8 and I can barely hear it, but last week when I was high I had it on 8 and it was crystal clear. Only other rational reason I can think of is that there is more background noise during the day, but it doesn't seem to be the case considerably how clearly I can hear it when I'm high. Has anyone experienced stuff like this? If you have, please tell, if you haven't I encourage you bluelighter to consider trying and see if you notice the same. Maybe it's all in my head, but the change in volume when I'm high just seems too much for me to ignore.

^fascinating! tbh I've not noticed this effect. In his book "Memoirs of an addicted brain", Marc Lewis goes into some detail of how weed alters brain function. I can't remember if he mentions anything to do with hearing. I'll have a look if I remember... and keep my ears out for anything next time I'm in the right state of mind

yeah, i've always attributed it to noise pollution throughout the day or paranoia of sorts. i live a few km's from a highway just the way out of town and on a crisp clear night, from outside, can hear cars driving along the highway which is 2km afar. there's no way of hearing throughout the day with the industry that surrounds my region.

yeh i totally agree with what your saying & know exactly what you mean about the tv volume level. im sorry i dont have any peer reviewed journal articles to back me up though.

personally i think it might relate to or have something to do with paranoia? sorta like your paranoid & your hearing is more fine tuned / dialled in...i dunno

its funny sit around the bbq with a few coldies and the noise goes up...sit around the fire with a spliff or flute and everyone getts quiter more introverted. when i was younger & only just dabbling with ganja, max one sesh a week me & a couple mates went out into some sugar cane in the dark to have a mix. one mate brought munchies & beers, another brought smoking implements, and the other tunes...well it was a sony discman with shitty cheap ass ear bud headphones...anyway after a couple flutes we put on crystal methods tweak end & it seriously blew us away how loud and bassy it was hahah...talk about paranoid we were in the middle of a cane field 100s of metres away from anything except cane & we were freaking someone was gonna hear us...haha that was a fun night on the way back a mate shone his torch into these trees we were venturing through and there were spider webs fucken everywhere...we shit ourselves that we had spiders crawling all over us...haha good times

ganja is an incredible herb, especially when you have no tolerance built up.

I always get paranoid about noise when I am stoned and smoking someplace I shouldn't be, have always chalked it up to paranoia. I do tend to have the tv on quieter at night than I do through the day but yeah, just really chalked it up to background noise. I am always stoned at night though so maybe that is making a difference. I never really thought the two correlated but perhaps when I get back to Australia I will do a little experiment. One thing I will say though is that on my tv the volume varies between channels so maybe you tend to watch the louder channels at night? I do see where the better hearing while stoned could be possible but at the same time part of me thinks that surely this would of been determined before and I would of heard about it.

I already ruled this out by watching the same south park dvd on consecutive nights. Once stoned, once not. It just seems too much of a difference for me to ignore. Although perhaps I can hear them quieter but as I'm high I hear the thoughts louder of what they are saying. I dunno... it's pretty weird haha.

Aus - Loophole closed, making sale of drug paraphernalia illegal

THE State Government has closed a loophole in rules banning the sale of drug paraphernalia, which had meant cannabis pipes and bongs could still be sold.

Police and the Government will now be able to prescribe such items as illegal, as they discover them, to keep up with "creative" producers of the items.

Independent MP Ann Bressington introduced a Bill in May this year to ban drug paraphernalia including a "smokeless" cannabis pipe and a bong "masquerading as a water pourer", after it was discovered they had slipped through the net of earlier legislation.

She said a loophole meant that people could buy the items, meant to be made illegal under laws she introduced in 2007.

Parliament this week has passed the Summary Offences (Drug Paraphernalia) Amendment Bill to close the loophole.

Attorney-General John Rau said it would mean "any innovative and new items that come on to the market, which are clearly designed to be used for purposes such as smoking cannabis or smoking methamphetamine crystals" could be identified and banned by regulation.

There would be a maximum penalty of $50,000 for a company and $10,000 or two years' jail for a person who breached the laws.

Those fines would be doubled if an item was sold to a minor.

"We know that previous laws had the clear intention of prohibiting the sale of drug-using paraphernalia and they resulted in the closure of several stores that predominantly sold such items," Mr Rau said.

"(But) we have learnt that there are people in our community who are very creative, who put their energies into circumventing our laws with scant regard for the harm they cause themselves and (the) community."

Ms Bressington lobbied Mr Rau earlier this year to investigate tightening the laws, following a court case involving police and the owner of the Off Ya Tree store in Hindley St.

She said the shop was "undermining" interpretations of the law.

Off Ya Tree declined to comment, saying it had not yet seen the new laws.

Jungle Fever in Christies Beach said the store did not sell bongs.

I'm sure I posted it some where else but I reckon it has to do with an enhanced sensate focus brought on by the cannabis. It makes you focus on all your senses more. This is one of the reasons some people say that it improves your sexual experience as well.

That article and teh whole legislation is just so stupid. They cant stop the cannabis distribution / usage etc so they think that by banning the smoking implements it will make a difference? It wont make a difference, people will still find a way to buy and use them and then there are alternative methods. In the end its the governments fault, great way to lose tax money too. Not to mention waste our hard earned tax money on criminal court cases and policing and etc etc. What a waste.
