If the mould wasn't there when he bought it then it is mould. If the webs were there and visible when he bought it then it is mites but then he wouldn't have bought it in the first place.

It is quite common for mould to take on the appearance of spider webs.

yeah its definately mold. its only appeared in the last few days.

So any tips on storing bud and keeping it from going moldy? if i put one of those preservative pouch thingies that you find in medicine bottles into a jar with the weed, would that help?

Check out CD for lots of info on this.

You need to make sure it is completely dry before it goes in the Mason jar for the deep cure. Even then the jars should be burped regularly. You could put a dessicant in there but if you make sure it is properly dry before hand you won't need to.

You just need to make sure it isn't sealed up with moisture inside.

Pharmacy could dispense legal marijuana: Guild

Pharmacists’ experience managing the supply of controlled drugs could put them in a position to dispense legalised marijuana, Kos Sclavos, Pharmacy Guild of Australia national president believes.

Speaking at the Pharmacy Business Network conference in Canberra last week, Mr Sclavos said debate over decriminalising illicit drugs was the number one issue on the health side of politics.

Mr Sclavos told delegates that while in the capital, he had met with politicians who were looking for a solution as to how drugs such as marijuana could be distributed if they were legalised.

“I was talking to some backbenchers about pharmacy playing a role [in dispensing medicinal marijuana],” he said.

“There are a lot of people who have their heart and soul in it, and their...

I wonder if they legalised it and made it government grown and sold only (which is probably the way they will go if it ever happens) they would restrict the THC content to a lowish 8-13%?

id say if that was the case then there would still be the black market for the top quality buds.

I think the government might have problems getting a consistent THC level out of it if they are in charge of growing. Check this report from NZ
https://norml.org.nz/2012/problems-with-cannabis-potency-claims/

Although they will probably contract it out to some one like GW pharmaceuticals who are already doing it in the UK. I think they use two clone only strains for their blend and then extract the actives to get consistency.

I assume they would be using high CBD strains for medicating purposes.

^ I would think there'd allways be a black market for it, no matter what the government does with it.

Why? There's no black market for alcohol, there maybe a very small black market for tobacco products, but i've never heard of it. People hardly seem to grow tobacco for personal use much either afaik, and for home brewing well that's not black market, since it's legal, but even that seems to be a very small % of drinkers afaik. Why would pot be different if it was legally sold and marketed and available very easy at a decent price for very good (hopefully) quality gear? Especially if after many many years or decades of it being like that, because maybe initially I could see some black market, but I cant imagine why there would be way down the track if it was, or is legalised?

Just interested in your opinion.

The black market for Chop Chop is huge. That is why the ATO cracks down so hard on people growing Tobacco.

Really? I've never come across it like I do with other drugs, not in over 20 yrs of drug use, I guess I just havent met the right people or something...

Yeah wow, 1 in ever 17 cigs smoked in Aust contains chop chop apparently -

Chop-chop
Chop-chop is finely cut, unbranded 'black market' tobacco that has been grown, distributed and sold outside the government regulated and taxed system.133 Due to its affordability, some smokers have adopted chop-chop as an alternative to, or in addition to smoking manufactured tobacco.134-136 Although used on a regular basis by a small minority of Australian smokers,137 the financial losses involved for the government, due to lost taxation, and the tobacco companies, due to lost retail sales, are considerable. According to tobacco industry-commissioned estimates, one in every 17 cigarettes smoked in Australia contains chop-chop.138

I only smoke bongs and like my mull really fine so it pulls through easy. Iv always mulled with scissors but recently have been looking into a grinder probs with a kier catcher. I'm just after feedback or suggestions cause iv never actually used one. Anyone out there use them?

Not aiming to derail the thread but at the same time didn't really feel it warranted its own thread

You've tried the coffee grinder way before? Gets it super fine.. And leaves that dust that is nice, I found those wooden grinders and metal grinders pretty shit, i always went back to the scissors too, i used to love chopping it tho, that nice smell and getting your fingers dirty and resiny.

You need to be in the right circles for Chop Chop. I have personally found it to be more of a rural thing near me.

A few drags from a ciggie of Chop Chop will leave you spinning as it is so much stronger. I vomited at work after smoking only a quarter of my first one.

For the cost of a sausage roll you can get a white plastic Mullamatic from one of the big supermarkets chains. They are pretty standard in Australia. You will also know when you get product that has had bud hardener used as they will pop the screen out.

You just have to start playing pool in any public bar North of Bundaberg and you are almost guaranteed to be approached by some cane farmer with a garbage bag full of chop chop in the back of their car.

totally worth the investment mate!
i've had the same grinder for about 8 years - one with a kief screen. it's awesome; when i run out or don't have the time/patience to vaporise a bowl, i scrape out some kief, roll it into a ball and smoke it. it's the best - i think of it as my 'stoner insurance policy'...mine works really well and i manage to scrape heaps off all of the bits inside it (the sharp grindy bits and the thread where it screws together).
i don't smoke much any more, but i haven't had one of those "dying for a cone" moments ever since i've had it.
most bud mulls up nice and fluffy, you don't get oil all over your fingers/scissors. i couldn't recommend them enough tbh.
i have a plain metal one, but you can get some pretty fancy grinders (with winding handles and so on) these days. i had a plastic one once, but i'd go for a nice sturdy metal one.
