yeah man hope your ok. i did another 600 today and felt nothing. im going to up it to 900 next time hopefully friday and let ya know how i go. hope your good dude

yeah I found that once I had gotten to around the 900-1000mg plus, that I simply couldn't get much out of codeine no matter what dose. Once my tolerance was there I had many run ins with the dreaded histamine reaction insanity that breaching the ceiling dose is known for. I never really liked the effect of codeine to begin with but once I'd breach the ceiling dose I found it also completely killed the opiate effects , like all I would feel is the death itch for an hour then pretty much nothing, not even that grumpy codeine feeling, well maybe a little bit...

^ hope you're ok dude. nothing too serious i hope? :(

Burnt with caustic soda/sodium hydroxide, old 50's house was trying to clean the drains.

Yes, i have burns on my eyes. Worst pain imagineable, I am lucky to be able to see. I am going to see my doctor tomorrow hoping he will give me some oxycontin 40's or at the very least, buprenorphine 8mg, or dilaudid 8mg. A pack of endones will last 2 days. 600mg codeine and 200mg tramadol only takes the edge off the pain to the point where I don't cry, and that's great because crying is like rubbing sandpaper over your eyes... Worst pain ever.

I ended up with 3% of my body burnt.

Histamine release is definitely a killer yeah. I usually take 50-100mg phenergan, or a 180mg telfast followed by what other anti histamine I have around. But now-adays I have seroquel to sleep, and it's an epic antihistamine, so i just take a small (15mg) dose of that.
I don't find myself addicted. I am just not scripted enough xanax for anxiety relief, so once or twice a week i find myself doing 1+gram just to relax and chill out a bit, or for a job interview!! My tolerance is huge.

8-10mg clonazepam will relieve my anxiety, 50mg diazepam, or 4-6 alprazolam. I'm hoping my doctor will see the light and give me 2mg xanax prescription, or else I'll end up with a proper opiate addiction. I'm not sure if I'm already there yet and just in denial! I called up dassa and they wanted me to do an inpatient detox. Since I don't use every day, i feel this pointless, I would rather maintenance, with slow/tapering dosages.

^ same sort of boat here. Mainly using pst for anxiety. Docs around here give out boxes of ADs for anxiety, and that's it.

Starting to have major insomnia now though, and that raises my anxiety levels hugely. Might have to step back to codeine for a couple weeks.

Yep, I had to use 175mg seroquel to get to sleep last night, after cwe'ing a box of panadeine extra (24) x 15mg codeine, and 2 100mg tramadol er. Not good. Stuff gives you the munchies really badly.

I'm hoping I get some proper pain relief today, so I can go back to my normal routine (minus codeine!!)

I've heard of cymbalta used for head pressure/migraines.

I have catapres which is used for that reason too, maybe discuss catapres with your doctor?

damn, stato! best of luck for a speedy as possible recovery. i've had blisters/burns on my eyes as well which got infected and i could barely see for a couple of months, was hardly able to open my eyes and see in natural light during the day because of how sensitive my eyes were and still are - i find myself squinting and still have trouble with exposure to direct sunlight, still affecting my vision. i've a couple of lesions as a result which add tracers and floaters in my vision which can get very frustrating and anxiety inducing:\

Not looking good Stato. All the best with that.

^ tossing up whether I should tell my pyhcologist and doc about my usage. Pst and codeine.
Just worried they'll label me, I mean I need fortes quite a bit for head pressures. The thing is the doc reckons Effexor will fix that?

I wouldn't tell them about the pst. I mean, upto you...but it's important to me to keep it away from the notice of people in that field. I feel like people in these industries are probably the first to report new trends, and significantly, the problems associated with them. Plus, all the docs I've encountered anyway don't know shit about it, I've told them opium but even so, even my bupe doc seemed to have no familiarity with that whatsoever. IMO there's no benefit to saying pst specifically, over just general 'opioids..' or just codeine.

In regards to the question generally, I think it's a matter of weighing up whether the benefit of telling them is likely to outweigh the possible risks. I don't think having drugs on your record is a guarantee of anything bad happening, I mean I've had a long list of drug related things of all sorts, pharmacotherapy, detoxes, medications and drug related hospital admissions on my medical record for ages, and I've still been prescribed opioid pain killers and benzos when required. Other people have reported otherwise though, so I suppose it is a risk. A psychologist though shouldn't be allowed to share those records with a doc though, unless you authorise that. Even with a doc, you need to authorise your record being shared between docs/clinics, unless you sign up to that new program where it's all automated by medicare card.

Honestly, I would recommend going to see a specialised addiction doc or drug counseller anyway if you're wanting help/treatment for your use. Your GP is likely to just give you a referral to one of these anyway, so if you're worried, I'd just go to a different clinic and get the referral that way. In my history in drug treatment, I've found people who specialise in the field vastly more useful than general doctors/psychos.

Thanks for the support guys.

Note, Look at my eyes, then think twice about doing stupid shit (like mixing corrosive items) without wearing safety glasses.

See my doctor soon. Hoping he'll give me dilaudid 8mg x20, to take 2 a day, for a week's relief, by then my eyes should be healing enough where I'm not in constant pain..... I'll be gutted if he only offers forte, or even endone... because I know I need 1+ gram of codeine to have any relief. I'm going to suggest a heap of medicines and see what his response is like, 200mg ms contin is where I'd be at, or 40-60mg oxycontin, x20. Ugh. Pain management.

It was quite hard trying to explain on the phone why I was crying in the middle of a job interview.

Good luck bro, LFT results back, majority about half the maximum safe level, ALT was a tiny bit higher than half, but the doc said nothing to worry about, which is good, I dont know if half the acceptable range of bilirubin is a good thing for a young person, the doctor said everything was fine though.

Bilirubin is excreted in bile and urine, and elevated levels may indicate certain diseases. It is responsible for the yellow color of bruises, the yellow color of urine (via its reduced breakdown product, urobilin), the brown color of faeces (via its conversion to stercobilin), and the yellow discoloration in jaundice.

Thanks for the advice, just wanting a doctor to actually listern to me about my anxiety issues. I'll be able to keep my head above it all, but wouldent mind just a few carefree days. Realised I was having mild wd's from pst recently so I'll just give it a break for couple weeks, downgrade to codeine for the weekend. And won't tell my doc about pst.

How much was ur AST levels? I just got my results back. Mine was 49 and normal levels are 41 max. Slightly over. Im suspecting all my gym supplements that are causing elevated enzyme levels. Taking multiple ones at the same time aint good at all. So laying of them until I pinpoint the cause.

20/40 I asked if vitamins could affect the test and he said it shouldn't make a difference.

Ahh cool thats normal man, anything up to 41 is sweet. When I had my blood drawn I worked out intensely just before and ate a huge meal and took all my supps which can elevate the levels higher than normal. Ibuprofen can also cause an increased value if u are using those pills for a CWE, thought id mention that as it is very interesting and urs was 40 which is just below the threshold value.

You must have misinterpreted what I said my result was half of the max.

20 was my result and the max being 40

Ahh yup sorry, 20 is good:) I thought u meant 20 was ALT and 40 was AST. So both were pretty much half of normal levels which is good results.

How did this go? If 600mg didn't work, I'd be surprised if anything did because of the ceiling. Maybe you're one of those people who doesn't metabolise codeine well/at all.
