how long does the high of codeine last for most people?

last time i CWE'd 600mg i felt euphoric from 30 minute to 40 minute mark and then just a bit more blue than usual, almost not worth the effort

the codeine high lasts a total of about 4-6 hours for me i try to keep my use to once every 1-2 weeks at 900mg-1.2grams a dose i feel fuuuckin great for the first 1-2 hours then i feel just nice n calm n relaxed for the next 3 hours or so.if i top it up with a benzos or premothzine it def brings the high back on

Did a chemist run, ended up with 2500mg of codeine or so. Not sure if we are allowed to discuss brands, but there is a certain brand out there that comes in both a 40 pack x10 and a 40 GLASS BOTTLE, hell yes get the glass bottle, awesome handy things to reuse.

I've just done a cwe on 800mg (80 x 10) codeine. Using a combination of an old tshirt (prewet, yes, i forgot my coffee filters this time)... and a 20 micron buchner funnel.

The water looks as we are all familiar with, just looks like ice cold water from the fridge in a bottle...

You can't be an effective metaboliser if you did it right or maybe you're just an extreme outlier.

Should be, in my experience, measured in hours rather than minutes. Think it used to last for about 2 & 1/2 or 3 hours with me. That said, I used to use continuous rather than discrete dosing to gain greater control over the high. I'd be CWEing reasonably small amounts, say 80-160mg, almost constantly and just consuming them repeatedly to attain the desired high. My CWE used to take 15 minutes so the overall effect wasn't that much different to just CWEing hench batches and knocking back the full ~230mg (initially) to about ~400mg (towards the end) in one go. I might have gained an extra hour or so by doing that but I can't see that it would've been anymore.

Anyway, on a different note, I completely gave it up when it started doing strange things to me. Well, not strange per se, but it started giving me a 20 minute burst of euphoria then putting me in a state of irritable discontent that wasn't worth the effort at all. I don't think I was ever physically addicted to it though. Not extensively anyway. I was doing >1g a day for several months but when I stopped I didn't really notice any withdrawal effects.

Just want to interject with buzz-killing warning: don't think for a second that CWE codeine isn't addictive. A few years ago when I started doing this I kept on reading how apparently weak-arse codeine is, but trust me, if you use this regularly suddenly you'll need >900mg a day to feel normal, and then you'll end up on Sub-maintenance, which is even worse....

Make sure you spread the highs out, at least a week in between, or you'll most likely look back and regret it....

Also some people have an allele where they convert a lot more codeine to morphine in their liver than other people do, so watch out for that. I certainly had it.

Good post. I mean, it is pretty weak but some people don't realise that in the doses we take it it actually becomes a perfectly potent opiate.

5 days of 600-700mg doses with PSTs in the mix has defs left me with minor withdrawls, feeling cold/hot flushes kinda like the flu. not nice at all.

^ I get wd through the week as soon as I involve pst, as for codiene I don't really get much of a wd. It's there but very easy to handle. But at the same time I've managed to keep my doses fairly low (250-350) due to using dxm from the start of my career.

Codeine is indeed an opiate and thus addictive. Good to state this fact and not get into a false mindset of thinking of it as being 'weak' or 'strong' - it's all relative.

Codeine doesn't do much of anything for me these days but that's my fault! I still respect it.

I wouldn't call codeine a weak drug, considering it converts to morphine which is classified as an extremely potent and addictive substance. If you are not careful enough its easy to form a habit of it. U may start off just using once a month, then once a month becomes once a week and then few times per week and then even daily. Before u realize u have an addiction. Because its so cheap and readily available its one of the easiest drugs to have a habit with. Look after yourselves and be sensible.

ok. pre production> have water chilled in fridge.

I put 40x15mg mydol paracatemol codeine tabs in a small glass a bit bigger then a shot glass. Usually about 20-30mL jUST covering the pills .
stir a few times. chuck in freezer
5 min, everu 5-10 min stir for till 45min.
stick in fridge and stir ocassionaly in fridge and leave in fridge for 45min.
Filter through thin bed sheet to remove the fillers/gunk
2nd filter through coffee filter.
DRINK.

thats my method for a standard 600mg batch.ive found iburofen codeine to suck ass as the water absorbses ridiculous so mydol is the one and the generic 40x15mg chemmist choice brand aswell.
so anything im doing wrong? because ive done everything precice , ive respected the contents and never spilt. have made sure empty stomach etc.
ive tried lab filters also for first filtering, ive tried iburofen instead of paracetamol. ive tried dxm to ehnance . ive tried GBF. etc etc
thoughts?

today i got packet of 40 codeine pharmacy 15mg in each not bad buzz, 1 or 2 took but with the ole methadone hard to get a good nodd lol, Much rather pop an Oxy if i could naturally. 8(

Wait, with a Methadone tolerance, you took 30mg codeine and you're surprised that you didn't get a nod?

Of note, I've decided to go back onto OC. I had my doc arrange for a weekly pickup so that I can't let myself go out of control this time. 80mg a day, should hit the spot nicely once I crush 'em up.

At the end of the day it's cheaper, the buzz is better and I no longer have to chemist shop. (HUGE relief 2-3 40 x 500/15 was fucking hard to sustain in my small city (Cairns))

so unless its the clonazepam workn (had 1 mL = 1mg pure concrntrate) or im feeliln it from a 600mg batch. body is heady and swaying, jst wana sit down. is that how it should be, or is this due to the clonaz (i have a high benzo tollerance aswekk = 50mg diaz and 8mg xanax type of thing for a normal kick). instead of putting it in the freezer this time i put it in the fridge in a large shot glass with water JUST covering. stirred every 10 min or so for about 40min,came out verrrrry pasty then filtered twice. used chemist choice 40x15mg

Haha, I love Gilligans, ya rarely leave the joint alone. The Woolshed is nearly as reliable for the same purpose, Teehehe. I love Airlie, I'd live there if I could get work in my profession!

Sounds like the clonaz to me... I never got much outta that drug

I normally feel a bit dizzy a few minutes after drinking the cwe and I then start to feel a warmth in my chest and body that progresses to euphoria quickly. My muscles begin to relax and my limbs become heavy. Then I either nod or have a drowsy comedown.
