Dressage is the worst non-sport ever. It is clearly not a fucking sport. Folk bang on about "oh the horses are so intelligent", no they're not. If they really were intelligent they wouldn't prance about like a fucking twat obeying the commands of some posh cunt.

I have, surprisingly considering my cynicism and lack of interest in any sport, really enjoyed the olympics...have been listening to them on the radio mainly, even dressage seemed interesting on the radio, but I can't bear watching it.

Dressage fact, according to 5live, one of the comentators was surprised to see so may dutch fans in the audience, another commentator said dressage is almost as popular as football in NL and is televised on prime time TV more than once a week. I'm still dubious about this, might have been some sort of auditory hallucination, hapens a lot at work :D

I'm enjoying the success of team GB, the atmosphere, I dunno, it has really surprised me....

The Dutch are fucking weird when it comes to sports sometimes. I was walking around the countryside just outside Amsterdam and I came across a huge building that looked like a factory, but it was a massive indoor volley ball court. Apparently that sport is really popular there too. I can't help but agree with the sentiment that dressage is not a real sport in that it's not exactly down to the human that much - I mean a 65 year old was competing... or at least not one that should be in the olympics. Olympic sports are supposed to be broadly accessible to people across the world, so we can all compete.

My major problem is that it isn't inclusive of all animals. I would like it if they included dog dancing, cat dancing, and even duck dancing.

anyway, I actually think darts is on dodgier grounds than dressage in terms of being classified as a sport.

Triple jump is a stupid fucking sport anyway.

I can see where and why athletic sports like javelin, long jump, pole vault etc originated from, but where the fuck did triple jump originate from.

And race walking, wtf is that about? It's harder work than jogging, but not as quick.
