oh I am sorry Spade. 'BangKok.' I think i've got it now.![]()
Unlike you I clearly stayed in some pretty poorly pavemented areas of Bangkok. Perhaps if you'd seen the gobby, rat run, johnnyfied gutters in the streets that my guest house was on you would have found a bench.
Or if I was being really pendantic, Krun Thep aka City of Angels also officially known as Krungthep Mahanakorn Amorn Ratanakosin Mahintara Yuthaya Mahadilokpop Noparat Rajathani Burirom Udom Rajaniwej Mahasatarn Amornpimarn Avatarn Satit Saka Tat Tiya Visanu Kumprasit which translated means The land of angels, the great city of immortality, of various devine gems, the great angelic land unconquerable, land of nine noble gems, the royal city, the pleasant capital, place of the grand royal palace, forever land of angels and reincarnated spirits, predestined and created by the highest Devas. The name Bangkok comes from the Chinese name for the city and means “village of the wild plum" because the official Thai name is too long.
You shouldn't have stayed in a slum then Yella. I know the streets are dirty and I saw rats and cockroaches all the time but sitting on the pavement doesn't bother me, unless there's an open sewer or something nearby. Which area of town were you in and how long ago was this?
you should put reviews on tripadvisor Yella :D
I fuckin LOL'd. :D

Bangkok, one of my favourite cities in the world so far, up there with Rio, Sao Paulo and Edinburgh.
