When did you first discover the internet and what did you use it for?

I used to download porn, watch it, then instantly delete. Took forever to download and it was gone in a few minutes.

Ha - this reminds me that at that age I used to have a decoy porn folder called "porn" which was just full of soft core stuff, to stop anyone digging to deeply into the temporary internet files. The inevitable bollocking from my mum still happened, but at least she never had to face the fact that the internet irrevocably changed the sexual tastes of her youngest child's generation.

I remember my dad getting his 'welcome' e-mail to the internet containing that vid, and the whole family gathering around to laugh in amazement at what the internet had brought us.

I'm telling you they are huge the world over. The amount of people I've told I'm Scottish and one of the first things they've asked me is "Do you like Belle & Sebastian?" is unreal, particularly in Brazil.

You can't put B&S in the same category as SHM. Swedish House Mafia are utter shite, B&S are a legendary Scottish band with a catalogue of classic albums.
