I'm currently tapering off Valium right now, down to a pretty low dose.
Just was wondering how much each of these would affect tolerance to benzos:
1. Alcohol - I don't really drink anymore because it usually makes me feel worse (which is probably a good thing), but let's say I have 3-4 drinks at night, can I take the same benzo dose the next day and be fine? Or if I'm feeling bad, is it because I've temporarily increased my tolerance, and need to take an extra 0.5mg or so?
2. Benzos - Obviously this would be directly affecting tolerance the most, and I don't take any more than my current dose. But just for the sake of knowing what would happen, let's say you have a terrible panic attack and have to use 0.25mg Xanax (5mg Valium), would this fuck up your taper the next day, or would you be ok to resume current benzo doses?
3. Caffeine - I don't drink caffeine anymore, but just curious because it seems that caffeine negates the effects of benzos, and benzos negate the effects of caffeine. Let's say after you crash from a few caffeinated drinks and feel really on edge, have you caused you're benzo tolerance to go up for that day?
I guess I'm just curious as to the extent that certain things could mess up someone's benzo tolerance, especially while tapering...
Any ideas are welcome :D
