^ You want to land on the balls of your feet, not your heels.
Oh, I have no idea about your form--I've just heard it's not good to land on your heels while running/walking. :)whew so it isn't my form you are referring to
I really have not paid any attn to my form. I just run.
My first 10K (6.2miles) trail run competition. It ended up being 6.35 miles.

I placed first in my age group (15 women) with a time of 1:01:24. 16th out of 68 women. 90th out of 185 runners.

I don't get shin splints.Do you pay attention to the shin splits afterward? If you get them, you're running incorrectly.
I don't get shin splints.
Thanks Kitten. Next 10K May 5th on a course a I never seen before about 50 minutes away. Not fond of the drive but I will run it once before the competition. This one is mostly flat...I think.

Is that a good thing? :Dn3o, you're starting to look pre-bodybuilder.![]()

we all look like pre-bodybuilders
N3O nice lats
sounds familiar. i've gone between distance running (160 lbs) and power-lifting (220 lbs) over the last 14 years (two major phases of both), with stop-offs in between at reckless substance abuse and moderation/balance. i've found the "hybrid" stages to take the most self-control - i always tend to get carried away with one thing or another and end up headed back towards one of the extremes.
whew so it isn't my form you are referring to
Thanks so much dude!! You are looking pretty damn cut yourselfn3o, wow! That intensive training is really showing already! I'm so proud of ya![]()
I was intrigued (and still am) about this as well. I know nothing of this form of exercise, other than I played a lot of soccer as a little kid. There is actually a proper way to run? i thought you just "move really fast" for a long period of time and keep the heart and lungs pumpin, thats about it.
