I get that one too!35....don't look 30......in fact some say i only look about 26/27.
I got Id'd for booze last September.....Felt fucking great.
I'll keep it youthful and beautful for y'all 8) (I'm 18 btw)Is this going to become the old eadd fart thread? :D
Hmm... interesting points worth a ponder.
Not sure on the facepalming bit (probably cos I doubt that'll ever change for me) but can see where you're coming from. Comfort in ones (increasingly slack and pockmarked) skin perhaps is possibly the guage I'm using at the moment. Started a thread on such things... a few days back, in fact.
As for the possibility of dying thing, that plays big with me at the moment. Think you may be onto summat there. As with (I suspect) quite a few folks here death was so very impossibly cool and so very coolly impossible in my youth. Was an ambition never yet realised. Then it all gets a bit too real when folk start dying. Not just suicide or "misadventure" stuff I'd always wished for but plain ol' unavoidable "you really are mortal" stuff like cancer, heart disease and the like. Seems so much harsher somehow. And so much more real.
Yeah getting to terms with illness and fucked up shit is probably part of it too. I felt pretty invincible, even up to a couple of years ago. I don't like to think your time is ever past, you just move through the phases. Some are just a fuck load better than others :D The thing I dislike most about moving through the phases is that it does make you feel rather 'shat out of the otherside'. You don't see it coming.

I'm told I look about 10 years younger than I am. I put it down to gb.WE talked about this in the heroin thread n almost all of us look a lot younger than we are.
My twenties shall be gonneth this year. 8(
A middle aged man I shall become.
Mighty and strong. With the stamina of a tiger and the strength of a bear!
My daughter was in halls with a lad of 26 which she described as 'old' when she was 18. Now she's 23 and he's one of her best mates she still sees from uni.Uni in September too, 2 years "late" but not so long that Ill feel "old".

I wish Mr Fishface would come over more often. I miss him...

Aww - how can I ignore such sweet sentiments
To answer the question, I'm 57 in May - it's only a number, though
I deleted my post as I feel more uncomfortable here than I used to - very few familiar faces and too may old, loved ones gone
Will catch up with folk via PM, where they want to.
Otherwise, remember the Fishface Mantra, Take Care, Have Fun & Be Happy![]()

There's plenty of the ole crew still lurking and posting, times move on but we are still the same old EADD drug pub. I miss you much and want to know how the young un' is growing and how the daisies are popping up round your parts
