I have a question for the older members; Does life keep getting faster or does the speed peak? I swear it's got to the point now where a week feels like a day when I was just 16.

It just gets faster. When you are six, 6 years is a whole lifetime. When you are sixty, it's but 10% of your lifetime. It's all relative Einstein. Sorry, had to add that just because it got me in so much trouble last time.

Maybe less seems new but that's only because you've had the time to see more. Generally, the hours are as sweet and the days as long as they ever were. Some people are alive and some aren't; age is relevant only in that the young non-sentient have longer in which to find their happy feet.

Or something. Time is an illusion and perhaps we've all been here a lot longer than we think. Whatever, it's a lovely day in the beautiful south and folk of all ages can go out without their coats on. When spring is the air, it's to be enjoyed.

I'm 2 months away from moving up a poll age group :D

Well, grasshopper, I'm looking at a half century coming up in whats seems not too long at all. Mind you, I don't feel that old in my head (although my body reminds me of my age far too often for my liking these days) as I still think like I'm in my early 30s; or as my grandmother would express such things when amazed at some people's behaviour,"never left the playground"!

I was a late starter compared with some in here, but you could say that I've made up for that in my later years

I don't want to contemplate it getting any faster lol. How did you slow it down?

Oh eventually life does slow down, in fact it comes to a dead stop. Given that option, I'm in no hurry to have my perception of the passage of time slow down

Ditto. We had the same problem when our kids were in their teens. Especially as they often noticed my 'happy eyes'.

Then PC Plod took the decision out of our hands by hammering on our door early one morning. Now they're in their 20s and we're very open with them. Tis the best way

Mine are 23 + 25 this year and I wish I'd had the access to information they have these days about drugs. I started very young and didn't have a clue about anything apart from what my family-folks told me...no wonder the road has been so bumpy We're so lucky to have places like bluelight and erowid now.

Mr SB in general it is assumed that we experience time in a linear fashion, I can't really see how anyone could give a genuine answer to your question.

I mean how do you go about feeling a week and then deciding that actually it feels more like a day, I'm not messing my head up further by even trying to extrapolate an actual means of testing it let alone carry out what ever twisted experiment might be required to provide an answer
