I'm 42, i always looked youne=ger than I was, but ow I wonder if I just thought I looked younger than i should have appeared to myself...

I lloook in the iirror now and I just see me, I'm fucking ageless really.

I get pretty sick of being called boy but I know why it happens. I just don't look like them. Every druggie I personally know looks younger than they are. My girlfriend is ridiculous. Noone believes her when she tells them how old she is. Drugs keep you young. Except alcohol and tobacco. They age people.

I once went to a reunion. Never again. In ten years, all the druggies at college had turned straight, got careers etc, and drank like fish. I will never forget walking in to a room and seeing people's faces drop because I still looked 20 and they looked 40. The men anyway.

^ Yeah I went to one and was horrified to see how some of the people I went to school with had aged; I actually thought someone I used to knock around with was one of my teachers in the 6th form! I also discovered that I'm unable to handle compliments - people were keep saying "you haven't changed" such that by the end of the night I didn't know if it was a compliment or they were saying that I'd never matured (to some extent they're probably right ).

What it did do though, after watching some people put away a shitload of alcohol, is confirm my belief thjat not only is alcohol about the most toxic drug of abuse, but it ages you more than just about any non-sanctioned drug (cigarettes also don't do anything to help retain a youthful look). Actually I feel that psychedelics are almost an anti ageing drug as at least if wrinkles do start to appear, at least they're smile lines and not ones from prolonged frowning and being pissed off at the world! . Now there's a headline I'd love to see how the tabloids handled - "LSD found to be an elixir of youth"...

I dont see my school mates on facebook any differently to be honest.. There faces are the same to me.

When someone I think looks like an old sensible woman or man tells me they are a year younger or whatever.. that unsettles me somewhat.

A young doc of about 26 saw me the other day.. little mousy girl she was.. Before I opened my mouth she leaned toward me, put her bloody hand on my knee and said squeakily ' and how are yuuuuuuuu '

Must say I'm actually a bit surprised at the age range so far. Always expect it to be much heavier on da yoots but the more mature drugpigs amongst us seem to be taking over EADDland. Or maybe us codger-types are just more likely to respond to such questions so we can bitch about getting old. I remember when EADD was all fields.

Anyway, he explained that as he's up to his eyes in hotties or something, he knows everything, and he's fed up with all the losers on this site, not the place for a bloke of his standing any more, and he's got more fanny than you could shake a stick out...and there's just quality gash on tap 24/7 for him, so he reckons he's done with BL.
