Over here (netherlands) it is been avaiable again for months; we had a drought in the late summer; starting probably somewhere in june which is when some bigger sources started running out, I was lucky to have a smaller scale source that lasted until early september but at that point it was gone everywhere, I was at free parties where normally ketamine is véry prominent and everyone was like 'it's gone country-wide, there's no ketamine anywhere'.
That lasted till around half oktober although I found another small scale source again by the end of september (which is still available as of now, still the same stuff too, I'd not be supprised if it's from a local source, for example pharmaceutical ketamine ment for animals etc.) meaning that for me the drought didn't last longer then two weeks but for plenty of people it was a period of months. Since half oktober it's been back again pretty much everywhere, especially in scenes that are typically heavy-in-ketamine it's really everywhere again; the only difference now from before the drought is that the prices have gone up a little bit and where as before it were large crystals now it's rather powdery, doens't matter what source or what enantiomer (S, racemic etc.), it's all powdery stuff while before all of it was large crystals. I'm not sure what is up with that, seems to be the caze all over europe too.
What I find odd though is that the drought in the Netherlands has been fixed since oktober and getting better too (prices dropping a little bit, more and more people having some again); it's still so bad over in the UK? The only two things that I can think of is that it would be more difficult to import over there being an island and all or that MXE never got big here OR that I'm just in exactely the right scenes and that the people complaining about it being gone are not?
There's a huge discussion about this phenomenon in the european subforum by the way, mostly people from the UK posting there. I also saw topics about this in this subforum before and mostly these topics were closed and people redirected to that topic in the european subforum. Either way since the drought was solved in the Netherlands I'm pretty sure it will get solved in other european countries too, probably not instantly but there is ketamine comming in and as long as there is some comming in there is still people producing it and importing it and it's only a matter of time before it goes back to normal I think. There has been an MDMA-drought in the past here that also lasted only a short period of time and got fixed completely so I think the same will happen with the ketamine thing.
