Where the hell did ketamine go?

Not that much here in the uk either, and I know a lot of good connections. It comes about every now and then but nothing like it used to.

I'm in the UK and K has been shockingly bad since about last summer usually its always cut to fcuk and I can always get my hands on it because I roll with the free party scene but its never decent K.

The last good K I had was off one of my mates who got it sent over from a friend in Pakistan where it is still legal to purchase from chemists.

So I guess if you want some real decent K get on a plane over to Pakistan.

Ketamine is hard to synthesize; harder than LSD, harder than PCP, and not really worth the effort. So if the flow from pharmaceutical sources is cut off, it's more likely that the market will find new drugs (methoxetamine) than find a way to produce ketamine (nine-step synthesis from a precursor which is itself controlled).

yes i've read there are a few countries where it is still totally legal, to my surprise

i have been talking about the k drought in the us for months now. over the summer there was a lot of it going around but now it seems to be all gone. i'm hoping that festival will bring more around! that's usually when a lot more of the good drugs come out :)

Fortunately not where I life. Never experienced a ket-drought fortunately. Not that I indulge that often, I prefer the low-dose mxe buzz. Doesn't stack up to the real deep deal though, if that's what you're after.
Only times I indulge would be a events/afterparties, and just nicely sink away in a couch :D Mate of mine swears by K above else so that helps as well ^^

Loved this report though, quite a nice read. Then again, you people probably already know it ^^: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/archive/index.php/t-160077.html

my theory: legal drugs readily available online = street drugs loose territory, cartels may still try and fight it, but if dealers start selling mxe for ket, bkmdma, tmfpp ect ect ect for E. kids loose their weed hook up 'cause there's always spice. you get the point. Once cartels get truly fucked (and we're far away from that, so we can account for several years of good RC fun), then RC's go away as fast as they came. C'mon, how hard can it be to shut down online based dealers?

edit: and then the only ones selling drugs will be pfizzer bago and the gang.

Nonsense. The designer drug scene has been around as long as humans have been synthesizing chemical compounds, it just goes under a different moniker of "RC scene" now. MDMA was first synthesized 100 years ago, and it was an "RC" at the time. There has always been a bifurcation between the government-abiding chemists who like to stay within the money-making pharmaceutical paradigm, and those who prefer to take the new discoveries underground to distribute and disseminate liberally to their peers.

New psychotropic compounds are something the avid global "designer drug" community will always want to pursue, and it's not going to go away just because of changes in the dynamics of, or the existence of, the "black market".

Jesusgreen,

Ketamine is not illegal in China if you're a veterinarian or are doing some scientific research in some university or similar, provided that you have the right licenses/permits. This applies to local or international sales. Ketamine is only illegal to manufacture and/or distribute illicitly, or for the average Joe to buy. It's basically the same as in the USA, for example, but the penalties for violating the law are much stiffer in the PRC. On the other hand, authorities often look the other way because many KTV's are owned or "maintained" by them; in addition to prostitution, KTV's are the primary place where Ketamine is available in the PRC and it's a fairly ubiquitous substance to find in such places. Many patrons are brought little platters of the stuff for them to snort, especially if some guanxi (loosely translated as "connections") is wanted or offered. This can take place between authority and authority, authority and patron, patron and authority, or patron and patron. It is also used as a "date rape" drug.

in the UK as people have been saying there has been a huge drought since the summer. Although i think things are beginning to pick up slowly but surely. I obtained some for the first time in a very long time about 2 weeks ago but it was cut with msg (i think). was extremely painful to sniff but the ket that was in there was good quality.

This situation is completely unsurprising: To a dealer why risk selling ketamine (and therefore imprisonment) when you can make equal fortunes selling methoxetamine/3-meo-pcp ? double your profit if you call start referring to idiotcopters! To the user why risk buying product cut to s*** with msg when you can at least get 99% pure MXE/3-meo-pcp?

ketamine will probably become 'retro - cool' ('ketamine was so much better than this MXE artificial shit' etc) in a few years after some kind of Arylcyclohexylamine analogue act/catch all.

simply economics

I've actually seen a big increase of ketamine for sale where I live, and I've seen ketaset vials more than ever.

I really wasn't into it until 2 years ago or so but since around last summer honestly it seems like more and more of it has been around... Seems like all the good beans and molly where I live went away and then ketamine became big. I wish things would change back to be honest :/
