2011-2012 football thread

Wenger out Wenger out. Old Basil Faulty has lost the plot. Why take off Chamberlain and bring on Arshavin having the worst season of his life? Walcott was having a shocker and Chamberlain set up the goal.
 
Football has taken an incredibly dark turn over the last few months for me. Even more so the last week. It's a gay sport and I hate it.*

* Not that there's anything wrong with being gay before anyone starts.
 
Wicked atmosphere at Anfield last night, thoroughly enjoyed seeing Liverpool totally outplay the mancs.

Liverpool's penalty was harsh on City but Richard's arms were up, and City should have had their own penalty too. However, if Joe Hart hadn't been in outstanding form it could easily have been 5-2 and there's no doubt that the best team on the night got through. Special mentions to Bellamy, Agger, Kuyt and the stupidly much-maligned Henderson.

Staying up North til Saturday as lucky enough to have acquired a ticket to revel in the same medicine being dished out to the Salfords=D
 
Forest manager Steve Cotterill has suggested playmaker Raddy Majewski won't feature again in the Forest team until he scores more goals....

...... Majewski was dropped by Cotterill 2 months ago after scoring a goal and hasn't featured since.

*facepalm*
 
Early in this thread i said how much i rated Bellamy n thought he was a great signing .

This was discounted by Liverpool fans n i was told he would be a bit part player n not feature.

After his mom display that got your mob to Wembley i woui;d like to say

A dodgy penalty decision and a draw at home to city and liverpool are already world beaters, cant wait till we piss all over you at the kop tommorow, probally with a good 6 or 7 first team players out aswell. Referee just been changed aswell, Martin Atkinson pulled out with a "virus". I hope world class caroll starts the piss fart

the other night i went back and read the first two pages of the thread and its funny.i reckoned newcastle would struggle but got the call on spurs right.

one or two lads on about the pool going to challange for the title and liberal media expected big things from chelsea

Love it when bitters parrot the 'Salford' thing, despite the fact that United have never, ever, ever been based in the city of Salford or any of its suburbs.

Then again I suppose they wouldn't know about Mancunian and Salfordian geography, seeing as most of them come from the mill towns up on t'hills. ;)
 
got a bad feeling about game tomorrow,with all the utd players missing and one eye on the stoke game tuesday i reckon if pool up for it they could win by 2 or 3.

being taking 5-HTP for a week now and having crazy dreams n nightmares one of which was andy carroll scoring against us.

You took the bait....am aware that Old Toilet is (just about) in Stretford (me ma was brought up in the shadow of the accursed place)...just thought the Salfords a better name than all the other slightly more grim ones usually spouted by 'Pool fans, especially given the current climate.

Could go either way tomorrow though have a feeling we will win from a mis-hit Carroll effort. If it's a draw (highly likely imo) then I would fancy you lot to progress unfortunately.

Anyone else going to this fancies a pint beforehand?

Just back from the match chilling at a mates....bet you enjoyed pissing all over us eh? Like I said, not world beaters (yet) just manc beaters. Oh, and we had a much weakened team out too (Carrra as DM anyone8().

Utd better team in first half after 'pool sat back on their lead and gifted Utd possession...Liverpool better second half after the substitutions. Enrique and Maxi's worst showings for Liverpool I think. Martin Kelly MOM imo, honourable mentions to Carroll, Agger, Downing and Kuyt.

Fantastic atmosphere, great result. Driving back to Wales a happy man in an hour or two and then down the pub to celebrate.

never nice to lose against the pool but shit happens.will all be forgotten when we win our 20th league :D

need to get De gea into a gym and bulk up/man up.

headin out tonight to 3 different pubs which will be full of drunken scousers who are going to rip me a new one.

not being out local pubs in months and we pick this night to head out and meet friends.
