Why would Redknapp take on the England job? Spurs are about to hit their straps in both the league and Europe where as England are, well England. A disrupted rabble with most of their best players past their prime. Who here expects to breeze into the knock out stages then bow out after going down a man or blasting a penalty off the crossbar?

Old 'arry would be better off biding his time the next 18months, then accepting a golden handshake a season or two out from the next World Cup. If Hiddink doesnt want it give El Tel one more for old times sake
 
5-0 without Bale getting on the scoresheet and no Rafa. Adebeyor was outstanding and Saha looked like the player he used to be. Great performance, great win ahead of 3 tough league games.

Don't go 'Arry, they'll screw you over and have you back in the dock before the year is out!

The Villa game just started and it looks like Mcleish is playing Heskey right of midfield. Its bad enough to play Alan Hutton at right back but play Heskey in front of him against Milner and Kolarov?

As a Liverpool fan(well Torino FC will always obviously be my first team), I'm getting quite tired of Suarez's antics, at first I blamed Evra, for the October incident at Anfield as he's known for being a complete twat, one of the most hated players in France, leader of the WC10 mutiny and if I'm not mistaken he had already wrongfully accused somebody of racism(a Chelsea stewards or something)

Then given the way the FA dealt with the matter, the fact they only punished Suarez while letting Evra getting away with having started the argument(he made bad comments about Suarez's sister and some other nasty comments about South Americans and that's what started the whole thing), my solidarity with Suarez grew.

But then came saturday and he really looked like a petulant child, whatever happened, let's put it behind it. Footballers these days are such immature spoiled brats.
 
Glasgow Rangers in administration quite shocked buut when you think of the limitations of the SPL & its appeal to anyone outside Scotland it kinda makes sense.

Still they are a big club in terms of support although only 17,000 turned up at Ibrox the last home match.

Wonder how this will effect the rest of the Spl ?

Big game tonight in the Championship gotta win against Southampton .

I have been buzzing since this was announced. I actually wake up in the morning with a huge smile on my face and think could things get any better.

I only wish I was back in Glasgow to stick the boot in and enjoy the party. But celebrations are being planned for here in Sydney.

Some people will read this and think im crazy, but you would have to live in that city for a while to appreciate why it means so much. I suffered 9 years of Rangers dominance in the 90's as a kid. Celitc simply couldnt compete with the transfers and wages they were paying. Exactly why its so very sweet to see it coming back to haunt them and hopefully they disappear and take all their 'traditions' with them. Cant wait for the party !!

"There will be coke and eccies when Rangers die"

Wouldnt sing it myself, but thought it was kinda funny!

I can understand why your happy but shirley without Rangers, Celtic will not have any competition and their will be no old firm game making the SPL worthless?

Face it you need to have your rivals to keep up any interest ?
 
Sure I can see that point.

But it changes nothing for me. I still want to see them gone.

The celtic v rangers fixture is the only part of the scottish game that creates interest and there is nothing more exciting that derby day. But id love to see them humiliated. The likely scenario is that they will have to start again as another company. I think they can retain the name Glasgow Rangers, but would have to apply to play in the SPL/SFL/europe. Id like them to start in division 3 as Celtic and others in the SPL would block any attempt for them to re-enter the SPL. Can you imagine if this happened. Teams all over the uk would just wind up the old company and start a fresh debt free club, in the same division they were in the previous season. No chance they will be allowed to re-enter the SPL as a newco.

The chances of them actually winning the tax case are slim and its quoted at around 70 million in total. Not to mention the additional 10 million in unpaid tax they have to pay since Craig Whyte bought the club last year.

To be blunt.... they are fucked!

Celtic will win the SPL every year and compete in Europe. Sure I will miss the intense rivalry, but it will be better for Scotland as a whole. As i mentioned they will take all their 'traditions' with them when they finally disappear.

I felt sorry for some of my pals for about 2 minutes then thought,,, nah fuck them.

How about Northern Ireland? The SPL's massive there. There are quite a few fans of SPL sides in the south too. Though it's not exactly a huge audience by any means.

I was just going sideways on methoxetamine when I heard the news. For a short time I thought I was imagining the whole thing and that the next thing I'd hear about is that I'd won the lottery.
 
Slapped a few random bets on the game tonight, aint got much of a clue about football, but fuck it.
 
with out rangers soon there will be no celtic.if one club goes then the tv company will pull the plug on there money.some of the smaller clubs survive on that and the two big clubs coming to town.

imo if they go out of business i give the SPL 2 years before it folds.what then for the glasgow giants = join the irish leagues or non league in england.
not much money to be made there.

Now this man is chatting sense .

It seems that Rangers will survive allbeit under huge financial constraints.

Another thing that is oft. brought up when chatting about The Old Firm is the possibilty of them playing in England .
I personally think that this is just not right it is logistically impossible .

Good night of footy 2nite . So this is the first time Fergie has come up against Ajax n it looks like hes taking it seriously from the team he's putting out.

Porto a club that i support and have really enjoyed doing so are in good form & The Dragao is a very intimading place .
I luv the place .
City should with their squad win but this is a different enviroment to anything in England their games against Napoli in the Champions league will give them a good idea of what to expect .

Would really like to see them get turned over wish i was their ...
