Well maybe my sub doctor told my surgeon during my appendectomy to go ahead and put in a naltrexone capsule that lasts for a decade (joking, but seriously I don't know what the deal is), because I just don't understand why no amount of opiates can even make me feel even slightly different.
What is wrong with me? My tolerance can't be so high that not even 120mg of oxycodone doesn't even make me feel anything at all. I was only on .25mg of sub a day for four years? Please, someone, help me figure this out?
This is so strange, have I grown immune to opiates? I've never had a vivitrol shot or anything like this, and suboxone would get me slightly high if I took 1mg or more, but oxy, fentanyl, and morphine can't? WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY BRAIN!?
The only thing I can think of is tolerance that has built up for many years of bupe use, and I will have to go completely opiate free for a few months if not longer to get back to the point where opiates can affect my receptors beyond just alleving WD.
This is so frustrating, my DOC doesn't work on me anymore. :,(
Any theory at all would be helpful.
i wonder if it's possible for bupe to warp the brain's opioid receptors so that they can never work the way they were meant to again.
I know this all sounds ridiculous, but I'm just so frustrated and tolerance should not account for this level of anti-opioid action in my brain, everyone else seems to be able to get high on much smaller doses of oxy (etc) that have been on bupe longer and with higher doses. What is causing this anomaly? It can't be the blockade effect becausee I hadn't taken any bupe for weeks.
MAYBE, the patches (bupe) leave trace amopunts of buprenorphine under the skin tissue and it's takeing a long time for my body to get rid of all of it? So maybe it is a blockade effect? Even after the patch has been off for weeks??
I just want to be able to get high like anyone else, my stupid opioid-resistant brain. I'm about to just call my old sub doctor and ask him why I can't get high after his treatment.
