I'm going to invent a new written language!!!

Mug has drawn another wavy line. Yas! We're almost there folks. English is nearly obsolete.

hahaha, what are the letters of the alphabet but straight and wavy lines connected to each other?

that was the comment I was referring to.

and yeah, I don't have comeback for nouns yet but that is still a work in progress.

They are lots of lines, connected to each other to form symbols. You have literally drawn two wavy lines & wrote English words next to points on them. You haven't created any symbols. You have just drawn two wavy lines. I can't be arsed looking back through the thread for both different pictures but in my memory they are identical wavy lines. Maybe you could prove me wrong (I may well be on that point, my memory is shite lol).

Here, I've made you a new symbol to add to the collection.

That one means hello. But if you paint it blue it means the sea.

Crackhead, I'm disgusted and disappointed that your wavy line doesn't have a frightening, anatomically-dubious and preferably-ejaculating bellend on it.

Standards, man. Standards...

Squiggle squiggle squiggle squiggle yeah yeah yeah! *cringes, just had to say it though* I'll get my coat...

I'll be more than happy for this thread to be archived when it is done, but for now could it possibly be closed until I am ready to post more updates, then I'll ask a mod to reopen it for me when I have done some more work on it that will actually help make it all make a lot more sense than it currently does.

ok, well I have some symbols to show you.. I have am uploading only the symbols that I have given meaning for so far and then 4 short sentences that have been made using the symbols.

This was the first symbol that I created. The writing isn't too clear for the descriptions, the symbol is the bit in the sharpie pen, the english is the descriptions. The dot in the middle means either balance or peace depending on context. I think the rest is readable.
(haha, the captcha message to be able to upload this last picture was "gone dolally" 8) hehe )

These are the symbols that I created after the original 12, questions words and other necessary words. There will be more necessary symbols that I need to create but this is the start. They allow me to form some basic questions and sentences.

Here are four short sentences that I made using the symbols and the rules. I should add that the symbol that is just a straight line is meant to represent the word that is associated with that part of the main symbol. Forgot to put that in the rules, will update soon.

Using even just those symbols a lot of sentences can be written. I'll update with the other 11 main symbols when I have given the parts of them meanings.

That is what I have so far, will work on the other symbols a bit more tonight. Try and broaden the language somewhat more, so many more things can be written using the symbols and the rules of the language.

The joining symbols are not wavy lines, and there are some example sentences in that first post with the first symbol, yes the first two main symbols are wavy lines, but the letters M and W are could be written in a wavy line fashion too.

I've just read both the symbols and the lines where you've put a sentance together. It's absolutely mind boggling how you came up of writing it this way. Although I am intrested in learning how to say 'one beer please' in Mugobian, just incase the world ends. I feel it is vital to know this in as many languages as possible.

This could make the best of bluelight section of the forum :)

Mugz, I have understood correct, you are replacing spoken English with a different symbol set. That I see as a flaw. For this to work, you have to create a new language, i.e. Tolkien's elven language. New words, new symbols.

So you have to create new spoken words for every day things then create symblols. Maybe this is what you have done, sorry but I have only read the last two pages.

Fck for all we know this could be the official bluelight language in ten years :)

I have an idea for the numerical system, it will be similar to hexadecimal but expressed with symbols.

I wanted the thread closed so I could work on a lot and then have all the pictures in the same place, but I guess the thread can stay open and then when I have done more work I can post the pics again in the same post to show how it is works properly.

I'm kind of doing it backwards, creating the symbols first, and then the spoken words will come after. It may seem as though it is just a symbolic form of english, but the english words that I have used to represent the symbols could just as easily be french or german and it would be the same. I guess it is just the sentence format that is english looking.

Serious question - if you don't have any writing utensils do you have to mime the wiggly line? I never was very good at body popping.

at the moment it is just a written language, kind of like braile or morse code I guess. Spoken version wont come about for a long time.
