I'm going to invent a new written language!!!

You're allowed to swear. Obviously. But not about fucking linguistics, you disgusting excuse for a human. Fucking swearing about linguistics? I used to think you were awright mate. I guess I was wrong.

Hahahaa.

That is all. Carry on Mugzy! :D

Mugz
oh, I took back my request for it to be closed. I do have the power to delete it though if I please, so please refrain from resorting to saying FUCKING about reading linguistics.

This is a fine example of how you can't handle when someone else even swears (not as if it was even at you, just in a sentance when speaking to you) you get all upset and defensive. Yet you do the same yourself. Shocking behavior if I do say so!

squiggle line dot triangle squiggle squiggle ^

We do not tolerate excessive verbal abuse or harrassment towards any member.

Please re-familiarise yourself with the BLUA before posting again. Any further breaches could lead to you receiving first an official warning and subsequently an infraction.

Many thanks,

SG ;)

Back on topic now please guys and gals :D

After I've had some lunch am going to create the meanings for the third main symbol, it will be a symbol that is mainly going to be about vehicles and travel, so maybe soon I'll be able to write cornishmans sentence that he posted earlier in the thread.

Then I'll read up on some basic linguistics stuff, then I'll create some example sentences using the 3 symbols that will be available at the time and hopefully it will make a tiny bit more sense :)

Mugz dont feel pressurised to come up with words for this lot.. wait for your muse man.

Im going to be extreme hippy today ive decided.. thats my theme.

I'm not doing it for them, that would be stupid :) doing it for myself, I have had the words for the next symbol in my head floating around for a while, just gotta get them down. Need to get some strength bck first though, and get some food inside me that will stay inside me.

It's ok I don't get upset at this. Cuntlugs :D

you need to connect to your inner nurse duude

Sadly that can only be reached by an iron fist to the anus.

this ridiculous thread inspired me to play around with this

my idea was that rather than making a symbol for each word, there would exist symbols for vague sort of concepts. a combination of two or more of these symbols would result in a more specific word/meaning.

some random shit i went and drew out: (i probably dont have mugz' tenacity to actually finish doing anything with this)

I spent most of yesterday either asleep or still being ill and recovering from noro, not feeling 100% today but am awake already and am foreseeing a day of great creativity :D Pics will be posted later, I'm going to rename Saturday to "Language creation day" this weekend.

In Turkish, the verb for "know" is bilmek.

He knows, is biliyor.

He doesn't know is bilmiyor

Does he know is biliyormi

If the tense was future, or past, the iyor part of the word would change, in this example iyor refers to the present tense.

No mater what tense, or what person, or what verb, negatives and questions are always formed the same way, a m is inserted between the verb stem and the tense signifier to denote a negative, and a mi is inserted after the tense signifier to form a question.

Much simpler than English. No use for don't's didn'ts did's does's all those troublesome auxiliaries, and also forms what we see as a sentence in one word.

Also word order becomes irrelevant.

The person is signified by another suffix, which goes at the end.

The suffix for first person is im (apologies to any turkish speakers I don't have turkish fonts on my laptop.

So, I know is biliyorim

the suffix for you is sin

So, you know is biliyorsin

Now, you now know where the negative and question signifiers go, so you should easily understand...biliyormisin, and bilmiyorsin...do you know, and you don't know.

Someone with your brainpower should be able to see how this could be useful in your project Mugz!

EDIT>>>>and if you can't see how this could be useful in your project, READ SOME FUCKING LINGUISTICS!!
