New Misfits is up to the usual standard. I'm gutted Nathan has left, but the new guy is good - he was in This is England. New Russell Howard's Good News, also. Hell's Kitchen comes to an end tonight, also Big Brother (I know, I know) ends on Friday. New I'm a Celeb starts on Sunday. It will be interesting to see if they can top Shaun Ryder, from last year.

Big Brother is bad enough but fucking I'm A Celebrity? Get a grip. I've yet to watch new Misfits, was never a massive fan of it but it's decent enough, I'll need to get it watched.

Felix, do you not find that Boardwalk Empire is actually a chore to watch sometimes? When you think about it, not much ever really happens. There's like just enough good things in each episode to trick you in to thinking you enjoyed it when overall it was pretty boring. I'm still sticking with it for the time being though but if it goes on for numerous series (like I'd originally hoped) I reckon I'll end up sacking it. Plus every single female in it needs to fucking die. Kelly McDonald is the worst. I would kerb stomp her fucking face in given the chance. It needs less of her shitey accent & more Al Capone.

Same with Walking Dead, it's pretending to be good but I'm starting to think it really isn't. Dexter has also been a bit of a letdown. I'm hoping Homeland picks up. The only thing I'm properly enjoying right now is Sons Of Anarchy & I thought the last season of it was rotten. I might be enjoying it the now because I wasn't expecting much from it though.

New series of Community also pretty shite & It's Always Sunny is starting to get a bit tired, as is South Park.

I saw a full episode of Pete vs Life the other night for, I think, the first time. It's fucking hilarious, I definitely need to watch more of it.

Crackhead: How many times do I have to tell you that your opinion on my TV preferences means nothing to me? When you have a woman dictating what you watch, you may find yourself in a similar situation. ;)

As for Pete Vs. Life, I actually meant to mention it - absolute gold. Definitely one of the best comedies on TV, right now.

Watched all 4 episodes of Top Boy, wasn't bad good enough but not sure if it's something I'd watch on a regular/weekly basis.

The Walking Dead is sooooooooooooooooooooo shit now

NSFW:
The story line hasn't progressed one iota. They haven't moved on at all, I really enjoyed them going through the post apocalyptic world. In the last episode there was only one zombie ffs! I don't give a flying fuck about the protagonists wife being pregnant either. It's a real real shame.

Yeah I totally agree.

New Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant show starts tonight 'Lifes too short' really looking forward to that.

Had to NSFW all of this due to spoliers

Aye, you're totally right. I said the exact same about that last episode. A zombie show where there's ONE FUCKING ZOMBIE in a whole episode & it was just trapped in a fucking well. The first series was banging, right good zombie effort, movie worthy & the idea of it being a TV series meant it could go into so much shit & progress through so much that a movie simply doesn't have time for. They have totally fucked it with the second series. They need to get back in a city, this country house thing is shite. The only good bit is that you know the pay off is gonna be a good few of them getting killed in that house due to a zombie invasion. There needs to be more zombie splattering quick style. It's as though they've blown all their "zombie budget" so have to pad it out with pishy drawn out storylines that I couldn't give a fuck about. The show actually makes me angry because it could & should be sooooo good, yet it's failed massively.

I know I've asked this before & possibly seen the answer somewhere but I can't remember. Is it true that the second series has different writers? If so, they are shite.

I watched my transexual summer last night! Wow I feel for them, life is hard enough with its ups and downs, but I really felt for them, family disowning them etc!

surely you love your own whatever!!!!!!!!!!!

anyone watching ITV news and the segment on consciousness and awareness in people in a vegetative state?
brings chills thinking about having complete conscious awareness but being unable to respond physically.

Its my worst fear.I did some volunteer work in a local hospice and became friendly with a woman with motor neureon disease.Very scary stuff and my worst nightmare would be locked in syndrome.Health is your wealth as its said.Evening Lady Marmalade

hi hi

just going through the mental steps of placing myself in that situation, imagining myself in a hospital bed etc ... i can get a feeling of overwhelming internal implosion, and an unfathomable amount of frustration due to being completely raped of any control x recurring x 1000. jesus ... and that's just thinking about it. living it would be nothing less than horrific.

the optimist in me immediately leaps in with objections .... 'you'd find coping mechanisms!', 'you'd find new meaning in elements you weren't previously aware of', 'you'd want to live' ... but that's surely just absolute horseshit rationalisation from an able-bodied me trying to deal with the absolute horrific thought that it could happen to 'me'.

'me' being the person who always answers 'my consciousness', to the question 'what do you value most in your life'.

The news clip showed the results of a new type of brain scan, comparing a person considered to be in a vegetative state, to a fully aware and healthy journalist. both were asked to do a number of things ... like to imagine they were moving their right hand, or imagine itching their left leg ... and the scan picked up pretty much exactly the same brain synapses and movement for both participants ..

[edit] I NEED A FUCKING HUG!! .... ;P

wine and chocolate will have to suffice for now :(

some BE episodes are slower than others, for sure. but i suspect you're probably missing out on a lot of stuff you might not care about. i'm interested in the history & politics of that time, for example, so that adds to my enjoyment. the women might be annoying, but they're become very important characters.

walking dead's been binned in this house, fuck wasting a third hour on it.

now on series 2 of the League, thanks to your say-so - funniest american thing i've seen in years! (and thank fuck you don't need to care about american football.)

Just started watching the latest episode of The Walking Dead. Where the fuck did all the extra people appear from????

Edit - Aye Felix, The League is the business. I thought the American Football thing would make it shite but it's just used as an excuse for them to slag each other lol.

Edit again - Nevermind, clearly seems like a flashback sequence.

Great film on Film 4 tonight at 23:00. Its about Britains most violent prisoner named Charles Bronson and is titled 'Bronson'.
Great film I thought when I first watched it so if you have the time to spare give it a look, it's well worth watching.

I started to freak out when that came on aswell, started thinking I had missed an episode or something. The episode was alright but something major better happen soon or I'm going to get bored of it.

Need to catch the latest Walking Dead (cheers for the spoiler-guards even if the episode's a bit cack ;) ).

Watching Film4's "British Connection" with "1 Day", which is a sort of "Grime Musical". Seems fairly good at present though I shall reserve full judgement.
