Just watched Pulp Fiction on sky, what a film forgot how good it was.

Anyone been watching Ricky Gervais new series? Just about to watch the 3rd episode.

I still cant tell if I like it or not, some parts are good like last week with Jonny Depp. I dont really like the dwarf, its as if Ricky has just transferred David Brent and put him in a midget, quite lazy writing so far if you ask me.

the 3rd season is the best so far imo. watched eps 1-5 last week and the other 2 this week.

it's got a much sharper dialogue than the first 2 seasons I recon. I don't remember actually laughing out loud properly for those, but I stuck with it because the characters are really decent and that's mainly what I love most about my fave shows, because good characters are few and far between ..

I've been cackling away with season 3 tho - the acting & characters are totally confident & settled in and it feels smoother and less clunky but it's still kept veering towards 'edgy' which is one of its other main strengths imo - adult humour/language/situations as opposed to some homogenised Fox major network shite.

the idea/format of the show is actually pretty generic & simple and with a toned down script & swearing cut out would probably do well as a 'Friends' style show targeted at a mainstream audience. but thank fuck it's not. its edginess, realistic but creative and funny as fuck dialogue and character interaction makes it perfect. I love that theyre not afraid to veer slightly towards being offensive. Ruxin's brother in law is top notch.

love the cameos they're choosing too. ray liotta was great, as was jeff. hopefully they'll be using more, and they're probably not short of offers either, since it seems to have a great rep

and holy jebus, it also has some kick-ass women characters too ... well thought out, realistic, funny ... what's that all about? total rarity on that score.

I've been watching "My Transsexual Summer" on Channel 4. One more episode to go. Don't think I've ever seen anybody on telly I wanted just to reach through the screen and hug more. Drew, Donna, Fox, Karen, Lewis, Max, Sarah -- I love you all and I'm going to miss you when you're gone!

Of course the issues involved are oversimplified to varying degrees; but that's the nature of the beast. There's only so much you can pack into four one-hour programmes, and it's better to omit a few small details and keep your audience than an entire aspect. As long as you remember it's the telly, it's liveable with.

The last episode will be broadcast on Tuesday 29 November @ 22:00. The whole series will remain available on 4oD for up to a week after then. If you're feeling a bit Johnny Depp / Keira Knightley, you probably already know what to do.

I quite like Life's Too Short! Yes, as the poster above stated, Warwick Davis is just a vessel for David Brent, but there's something about the show I find very very funny.

Favourite programmes at the moment are Regular Show, just a very funny cartoon.

And Party tonight is the best song from the show.

And Adventure Time is like a trip into DMT land.

this weeks Dexter was the best in a while. lawdy it needed to be. good to see some humour back in the show.
the 'jawdropping' twist it needed, wasn't as nearly as jawdropping as it needed to be.

anyone watching American Horror Story? - it's 8 eps in on its 1st season. it's a really decent traditional ghost/haunting themed horror, centered on one house. it's mainly about the disaffected/murdered occupants throughout the years ... mainly told through flashbacks focusing on different characters each week, but interweaving them all in a really clever way. I like it a lot, and I'd pretty much written off any hope of any new decent supernatural content on TV, since it's all vamps, werewolves and witches atm, or seems to be anyhoo.

It was a little disjointed & confusing at first & seemed like it was gonna be too convoluted and a chore to stick with but it all starts to mesh together as the character's stories get expanded

it's not disney/family stuff, it's well written, weird, pervyish and original and visually looks classy and has a classic kinda feel to it. GREAT cast. Jessica Lange is one of the main characters and she's better than ever

has Zachary Quinto [sylar from Heroes] and an incredibly hawt maid character. [the older version of which is played by the mum in 6ft under]

Dexter this week was alright, but finding out there is going to be 2 more seasons at least has really bummed me out. You were right about this weeks episode of The Walking Dead Marmalade, at last it looks like it's going somewhere.

Strangely enough House has stablised into an OK show. You sort of know what you're getting.
